This happened today. The question asked while I was working on an algebra problem was , “can you tell me all the Roman numerals from 1 to 10?”…seriously?

I give these problems to my students every so often so they don’t have issues later. Doing God’s work.

I have no idea what any of this means

It's 4, because M and D are done in the same step from left to right because they're interchangeable. Ex: x/2 = 0.5x

If they are like me, they got it into their head that it was actually 3/2 = 1.5 x 6. Seeing it as two-thirds of 6 made much more sense to me

or if Multiplication comes first 3*6=18/2
