26 Man Tax: Alex Hafner

Since we are destined to live out our lives in the prison of our minds, our one duty is to furnish it well. -Peter Ustinov

So, I made a discord server. It's a relaxed environment where you can take/donate memes to the cause, play trivia twice a week, chat about lots of topics or about nothing at all. We also have Jack Box game night and are setting up movie night! Very laid back/relaxed vibe. Come hang with us.

I'm also on the imgcat server for updates & fun:

Unable to work, zero income. Feel free to leave me a tip. Those that have, y'all are the bee's knees. You've honestly been my lifeline. For the couple people that have said I'm "scamming" people, I only get SNAP, so this money goes to things like TP, shampoo, laundry detergent, etc.

Don't worry Science Buddy, my fingers stay dry too!

He went on to tell the other forest creatures about the time he was abducted by the Fae.

I thought for sure he was going to take her face off. That look of outrage on the hawks face...you know he'll never forget her face

#16 this reminds me of The Trail to Oregon musical, with the 7 year old. "I learn thru trial and error. Putting things in my mouth. I put it in my mouth, if it doesn't try to get out, I swallow it. (Good lord what else have you eaten?) I almost ate a scorpion. That thing got out. It knew the rules, it played the game and I respected him for that."

RIP
Here lies Greg.
Crushed by a bed.

1 week ago | Likes 68 Dislikes 0

The bed is the least dangerous thing. It's all actually really cool, but I'm pretty sure the moving cabinets are just working on motorized wheels on the floor with no tracks or anything, which is hideously unsafe. Even if this is an insanely seismically stable zone, it's also clearly relatively high up on a tower, which means just wind-sway could be enough to cause those to topple! They need to be anchored solidly to something!

I don't know, officer—my husband called and said he was working at his new desk, but when I got home I couldn't find him anywhere!

I love the concept, but you have to be very organized and very, very neat. After three days neither of those things would be opening or closing all the way, and the bed would hit something I left on the table and would be stuck 5 feet from the ground and I’d have to use a chair to get in and out of bed. I’d also have to go buy new clothes because I’m not thin enough to squeeze in between the 10 inch opening where it got stuck.
Or, if the power went out then what?
Aren’t I cheery tonight.

A power outage was my first thought...now no bed

#10 This is really cool design, but really dangerous execution. People will probably focus on the bed, but that's actually safe enough, it's anchored to tracks on the wall and could be supported properly. The moving cabinet/shelving units though? Tall and narrow and anchored to absolutely nothing (They must be on motorized wheels which makes them even more unstable). And this is on a relatively high floor of a tower, judging by the view. VERY DANGEROUS.

If they'd just set up the moving cabinets on overhead tracks, it could be quite safe, but unfortunately...

The other is a garbage disposal on legs

1 week ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

Tell that to my bread stealing cat. Obligate carnivores but they act like it’s optional…

What's your cat's name?

1 week ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Nezuko. She’s gotten better but will try to dive headfirst to see what’s on your plate

#10 Ah yes, the Cat Crusher apartment.

1 week ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Right. This is what I don't get, this is clearly a sales pitch. Nobody that actually wants to live there would do any of that dumbcockery.

1 week ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I honestly wouldn't mind having a flexible space like this. As it's been pointed out though, it would need to be safer than it is. Tracks for the sliding cabinets, etc.

1 week ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Its also going to break eventually. The worst thing would be it breaking when you now need to get in there, so you have to call an extremely specialized, and probably very expensive repair company out.

1 week ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Maintenance would also be extremely necessary. Keep everything clean amd tracks or gears oiled. No one thinks about these things until they own something like that, generally.

1 week ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yup, just overall not worth the trouble. Also no clue how someone's going to sleep with that many fucking huge ass windows. Overall, if I were buying that space, I'd just have to rip out the fancy shit, put in normal stuff that doesn't move around, and just put the bed down on the floor. I know, I'd be the boring person that "ruined" it according to someone, but sometimes, a system is already at its peak efficiency.
