Took out old gas fireplace

May 22, 2019 2:57 PM

Gas fireplace was old, I never used it, and new gas fireplaces are expensive

Built a frame for the electric fireplace to sit on.

Tiles on the side are stick on which I worried would look cheap but turned out great and were really easy to install. Tiles on the ground are white marble. Marble is really easy to cut and looks amazing

Finished product. I got the idea from looking on Zillow at really nice houses in my area. I used the gas fireplace maybe 4 times in 2 years, i've used the electric every night for the last few weeks, I dont really use it for heat its just for ambiance.

You can change the flame to 4 different shades and the rocks to 15 different color options. Its a Puraflame fireplace that was about $400.

What did you do with all the cotton candy after you took it out?

I did the same thing. Took out a wood burner that spilled smoke for no reason. I love it. Good job.
