Obligatory finally product first. A horse board game I hadn't heard of for my cousin's 30th birthday. Her husband commissioned me to make it for her.
Had this pic to go off of, well and the internet. This version slides, I went with a different design.
Laying it out
Measure thrice cut once
Taking shape
Cutting out the drill burs. Didn't have a drill press so I just did em by hand
My awesome friend cut out the unicorn head on her scroll saw. I would've used a handheld jigsaw since that's all I had. (Check her out on Etsy or Instagram The Pine Canvas!)
Unicorns can race right?
Curves are hard af to burn into wood (for me) So I opted for Roman numeral to save time. 2-12 each side.
Board is finally burnt.
And done staining and final trim assembly.
Feels good to be done.
Hope she likes it!

That’s very good, @op! What wood burning tools did you use?

Thanks! Just like a small kit from a craft store, nothing fancy.

What's the object of the game? Also good work!

Ya know I'm not too sure. Pretty unfamiliar with the game.
