#24 is something I've found as well. Is knowing but ignoring ignorance? Or do they REALLY know? Or has ignorance blurred with stupidity? Likely, they do not understand what they "know." My mother votes for racist but doesn't believe she is racist. She's somewhere in the area of discussion. I've learned some people will not realize what I have, they will sooner die, and some do. My best guess is that admitting wrong will collapse their beliefs and metaphysics.

Nah if you know and ignore, you're culpable. If she knows the people for whom she votes enact racist policies, or (especially) say racist things, she's willfully choosing cognitive dissonance so she can believe she is still a good person while she supports racism. People who are aware of racism and support it are racist. People who are stupid but exposed to information explaining how/why someone is racist, and choose to ignore it, are willfully ignorant. Both are culpable imo.

Choices should have an alignment, not characters, imo. Of course, I have yet to play DnD, so maybe it feels better while playing it. But having created tons of characters and stories on my own makes me look at these charts and go: "Why are you limiting your creativity to such a degree?"

If that's the only reason you can feel to hate more power to you I guess. I don't use the word hate lightly but I also don't only reserve it for only the irredeemable. Irredeemable people are far too few and hate is a strong enough word for other circumstances. I have people I hate to the point I would light a cigarette on their burning body but I also don't consider that person to be completely irredeemable.

Neither do I but I don't discredit the possibility entirely. I feel to do so is very small minded. I may not seek them out to see if they've changed but if they come to me to show me that change or I become aware of it through other circumstances I am not unwilling to forgive or relieve the hate I had.

Okay but there’s more. Sometimes you meet someone and already have preconceived negative feelings about them. Say, they’re an ex of a friend, or they’re friends with someone you already don’t like. You may actually come to like them if you ever get to know them.

Well, the point of the book was to create salespeople. So that "eager want" was probably the product you were supposed to be pushing. I remember being recommended this book back when I was supposed to be proselytizing everyone I saw every day into a creepy, culty version of xtianity.

My mom gave me that book in the 8th grade and I burst in to tears realizing even my mom thought I was a loser. When looking through it I realized I do it all already, it's just that no one thought I was interesting, and whenever someone more interesting came along, I got left behind. I was never anyone's "Best Friend" even though I had some over the years. I hate that book.
