#5 I fuckin better.

#2 but if they vomit on you, it can cause damage iirc.

1 year ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

#2 you probably can't use an elephant as a reference point as ectotherms vs endotherms have very different energy requirements per kg body mass, so it's likely sauropods needed less energy relative to their body weight. Not taking away from the fact that they'd take fucking huge dumps and this is a fun thought experiment though

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I realise I assumed sauropods were ectothermic. Maybe I should've checked that? Idk

#7 The target isn't the Jewish people, it's the Israeli government.

Exactly!

#7 Except many many times the target IS men, THIS one here that reached the front page shows as much, it has absolutely nothing to do with patriarchy, it just wants men to feel bad about their own existence and how could any women love them if it wasn't biological wired

1 year ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 14

People like you are why #7 is necessary in the first place, yet here you are, intentionally missing the point.
"Not all men" but always a man. The point isn't to target men, it's to emphasize the universal experience of women. I'm guessing you didn't understand the bear thing either.

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Funny enough the target here is not all men.

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Sad, maybe it should read "the target *shouldn't be* men" etc.

#9 This is some right wing, "stickin it to the libs" Grampa meme level bullshit. "FUCK YOU VEGETARIANS!" Yeah, good one.

1 year ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Hmm, I didn't see it that way, I just thought it was funny. I have been vegetarian for most of my life, so it definitely wasn't my intention. Sorry if you felt bad.

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Oh, bless you, but it takes a bit more than that to make me feel bad! No worries!

1 year ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Ah the old "GOTTEM" for the vegetarians. I have been to quite a few places and never once have I met a vegetarian or vegan being obnoxious about what foods people eat. But yet people will, completely unprompted in places that have nothing to do with it, feel the need to throw shade. Obnoxious meat eaters get commercials about how much meat is in their meals or are regularly vindictive and that is considered normal.

Confirmation bias strikes again

Count yourself lucky. I’ve been sermoned a couple of times then they wonder why you don’t hang out anymore

1 year ago | Likes 37 Dislikes 4

I generally find the best way to shut them down is to tell them I agree with them (because I do), but I'm just selfish and like meat too much to give it up (because I am). They typically tend to go silent then and try to figure out how to continue their tirade when I have already agreed that I am a horrible person and I just accept it.

1 year ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

Yeah I’ve seen so much more vegan/ vegetarian hate than I’ve ever seen hateful vegans/ vegetarians. The meat obsessed folks seem way more consistently annoying.

There's a few insanely preachy vegans down here in Oz, but they usually don't interact with society or blow up unless some "hurr durr i'm teh carnivore, vegans are teh suck!" restaurant owner spouts off first. Then they cop a faceful of vegan rage and go on the aussie equivalent of fox "news" to play victim and whine about how evil vegans are.

1 year ago | Likes 24 Dislikes 2

I have known preachy vegans, but it's hard to really fault them too much because like...they're right? It IS wrong to raise and slaughter animals for food. Being outraged about people eating cows and pigs isn't any different from being outraged about people eating dogs.

1 year ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

It's almost like nurturing meat eaters and stigmatizing vegetarians gets you the most profit.

1 year ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

Sometimes I just want vegetables that are not doused in grease and aren't $20-$30 per plate. I don't get why there's not many restaurants that know how to handle vegetables. Spice em, roast em, add a dressing. And the newer vegan restaurants are all about the pretending to be meats, which can fill a role, but celebrate vegetables for what they are too please

1 year ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

Ask any twitch streamer that uses the vegan tag, and most of them will have had people joining their streams just to be an asshole about veganism.

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

Yea. Honestly, I think it's due to guilt. I eat meat, but I know that the vegetarians are on the right side of history on this one. I don't think most people are comfortable with accepting that they are doing something measurably immorale, and they lash out instead.

1 year ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

#7 I cannot stress enough how much I wish we would understand just this.

1 year ago | Likes 47 Dislikes 1

Unfortunately, too many gullible people got hooked by propaganda, and are now unable to make those distinctions, so they fight for and protect the actual evil ones.

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Lack of critical thinking skills strikes again.

A black and white statement if I ever heard one. This, answering the idea of introducing shades of gray

1 year ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 3

the amount of scorn I got for pointing out how extremely misandrist that post was, so its definitely not a minority among feminists, or when I point out the bad taste of "jokes" about how they would like to be mermaids to lure and kill men, there is def a misandry problem in the american left

1 year ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 3

Not ppl. Systems of patriarchy that normalize abuse. I am angry at the belief system.

1 year ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

And what about men being 8 times more likely to be homeless, ain't that abuse? is that the system of matriarchy at work? Or just happens to be so convinient for feminism that all problems in life can be reduced to tHe pAtRiArChY?

Just say you are not interested in helping disassemble oppressive systems.
