I'm still debating with myself about the blindfold. Should he or should he not? Would I or would I not?
I think it's to show how vulnerable he is and to make those who need a hug and get stuff off their chest feel safer.

It's to show no judgement on his part, they feel safer unloading their problems on him perhaps if he can't see them, it's to make them feel better
But he still sees them later in the recording. Also he either publicized them without their permission or had to ask the person if it was alright to use them in this way. The blindfold is a lie.
After they were done would he ask for permission, that has no bearing on his being blindfolded during their encounter. So no it's not a lie.
