Supposedly these pics are all of Colombia, but I have not source checked. Shame, I know! I figured they would eventually get called out anyways, lol.
Edit: I did not take these photos (just sharing) so I want to make sure to give credit to all the photographers that took them. (even if they are heavily saturated :). I had no idea Colombia had such a variety of climates and landscapes. Glad it was interesting for everyone else too!

Excitebike
Needs more saturation!

Johnny Cay in the background. San Andres is SO HOT THOUGH.
theThousandHells
I live in bakersfield... I found San Andres refreshing :P

I live in New England. I was sun burnt 5 minutes off the plane and I almost melted.

Sometimes I look at pictures of Columbia and wonder... "WTF is my province called British Columbia?"
HaplotypeX
Hi, I really want to go. But I am a female traveling solo. Any news about safety? I reckon you don't put Bogota and Barranquilla
theThousandHells
Get a money pouch to wear under your shirt and don't have your cell out any more than necessary
jherazob
It's not less safe than many USA cities, but if you wanna be sure go on tour groups, you should be pretty safe

#20 That’s some good Souls environment right there. I want to explore it
eggmuffin
And those ponchos are super—comfortable.
crateo
These places are extremely beautiful by themselves without having to turn the saturation dial to the max xD
GravyHavok
Does not look like Chocó.
Howfuckinhardisittogetausername
Definitely not to be sniffed at, nomsayin.

1. How can a pyramid be natural? 2. Now Inreally want to listen to ChoquibTown.
eggmuffin
It is not actually pyramidal, just close enough for the name to work.
ElizaMDancer
Any time is a good time to listen to ChoQuibtown ?
rehzix8442
Someone page UBISOFT!
jawsoshuell
Square Enix beat 'em to it
rehzix8442
Oh yeah, just cause lol, i forgot I have that one
jawsoshuell
Fun games, and the one with this environment was really pretty. I did get frustrated with the gravity physics in that one though.

Nothing like watching a multi-ton shard of metal get blown sky high only to float harmlessly down like a leaf.

Where are the Paisas? (Paisas refer to beautiful women from Medellin. If you ever been to Colombia you know I speak the truth ;-)

The trees in the jungle by the ocean were beach trees.
isetprettygirlsonfire
Beautiful!!! I want ti go to every single place seen here.
jherazob
Can be done, even better that there's no seasons there so you could go in the middle of your winter or something like that

I've been to the tatacoa one. It's cool as hell. Also, nearby they have an observatory which was also very cool.
OneMoreRide
Wonder if safe enough to travel.
ItsjustDog
Precisely...
Gun10ck
Like because of Covid or drug cartel stuff? Cartel stuff mostly went away back in the 90’s. I went in 2012ish and had a great safe time!
pinheadbrigade
6 feet tall pasty white guy here. Never felt unsafe in Medellin but any city can be dangerous. Freakin loved it.
ElizaMDancer
Pretty safe. Likes ruined else says, be alert , know where you are. But I go every year. Love it there
yaboDog
Safer than a USA school
Doompug
that doesn't really narrow it down...
Badmusick
Serious question: as an obviously American white dude, how welcome would I be in any of these places? I want to go so muchly
caruiz887
Any of these places their habitants I mean would be happy to help you and guide you in your trip you'll never forget this country
ElizaMDancer

Wife is colombian, I'm white as hell, TONS of gringos when I was down there. Colombian people are fuckin warm as hell. You'd love it.
WrongUn
You'd be safe if you stick to the right areas. My brother got stabbed in the leg but he also poked a komodo dragon with a stick so go figure
EmilyGoldfinch
My husband & I are very pale Canadians,- we spent a month in Colombia in 2016, and everyone was very nice & welcoming!
EmilyGoldfinch
Not sure how it may be changed since 2016. We did a Gadventures tour for the first few weeks which was helpful, & we know a little Spanish.
eggmuffin
Travel teaches us one thing above all: People are all the same, everywhere. Friendly, helpful people is the default, not the exception.
eggmuffin
This is why you will hardly ever find a well—travelled racist. (Staying at hotels and airports in 14 countries does not count.)
ElizaMDancer
It helps if you know Spanish.. But most Colombians like foreigners and are generally quite helpful. It does matter where you go though
EvilToska
Been living in Colombia for +10 years and you'll be good if you follow sensible precautions. Colombians are very welcoming.
WunSukong
As a Colombian, you'll be treated with more kindness than we treat each other. But, also stick to safe / recommended areas cuz o theft.
FlavorIntensifies
Can confirm, Ive been living in Colombia 3 years now, all of these fotos are of the places listed
sassort5
*stops packing for a second* ...how dangerous are any of the places in those photos? Venomous animals, for example?
ElviraQueenOfDarkness
Halfway betweend The USA and Australia. So better on muder and police brutality and less animals that want to kill youm
riddmkidd
How's the government corruption? My my aunt is from there and she and my uncle moved back to USA because of it.
EvilToska
It's pretty noticeable and permeates everything. You can do w/o, but with usually goes faster and makes things less complicated.

FlavorIntensifies
Everywhere, curruption is a major issue in the US and right now the US is way more dangerous than Colombia.

I'm leaving for Cartagena in a couple weeks to do some solo traveling. Any recommendations or tips?

If you want some … - just order the “Gatorade” for 20,000 - don’t get street stuff, too pricey and then they follow u saying they’re cops

Barranquilla is 2 hours to the north, rediculously good food there. I can give recommendations for there and for Santa Marta as well

Il from Cartagena. Don't trust cab drivers. Usually cab fare goes from 8000 to 12000 pesos. don't trust the people from the beach. DM me
Mashknight
If you want to.
dingleberyjim4
Who are the people from the beach? Vendors, taxi drivers, con artists?
Mashknight
Yes. Don't trust anyone. Is best if you bring your own sodas, beer, food, etc
FlavorIntensifies
Can confirm.. many taxis in the coast dont use meters, most fares are between 8 and 12mil pesos always ask how much they are going to charge
dingleberyjim4
Hey thanks for all the feedback! Taxi drivers always seem to be corrupt in poor countries. Santa Clara is around 400$ a night! Oof. Gestsema
Mashknight
That's an incredible rip off. I just got home from El Centro to castilogrande by 10000 pesos

When you get in the cab, and make sure the child safety locks arent on
JustJillyMeh
Must say the child safety lock comment is somewhat unsettling...
