Knights of the Eternal Throne UHQ

Looks stupid and overly dramatic for a fight.

If only the game would have been this good.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

its funny when you think about it, when almost anything in the game looks more technologically advanced than in the movies...

7 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

That bugs the shit out of me. It made it really hard to get immersed in kotor.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

SWTOr is probably the game I've played more than any other. Still love it. Usually play expansions when they come out.

7 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I see they still haven't found out how to not make the baddies uncharacteristically waiting their turn look like complete tools.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Everyone saying the game is dead. It's not and it's great. Been playing it for almost a month since WoW is just "whos more morally grey" now

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I fucking love Star Trek!

7 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 2

Sure, why bother with armsmanship & choreography when you can write the scene like a nun whipping Irish orphans with a ruler, amirite?

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Why she dressed like a Titan from Destiny?

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Oh geeze... every time she turns around there’s a new wave!

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That's it, I'm officially All-Group-Fight-Scenes-Are-Idiots-Waiting-Around-To-Get-Punched-And-Dumb years old.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Hmm, why is a Jedi Guardian fighting Sentinels here?

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

They're not Jedi. She's the ex-captain of the Zakuul knights fighting Nathema Zealots.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

glad i'm not the only one that's thinking this

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

7 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

If it's fan-made it's better than a lot of pro stuff, especially the choreography.

7 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 8

Idk for fight choreography this is pretty mediocre. Half of them just wait to die and swing at air in the background.

7 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

It's from the cinematic trailer for the Star Wars: The Old Republic Expansion "Knights of the Eternal Throne" was made by Blur studios.

7 years ago | Likes 33 Dislikes 0

Its pro stuff showing how pro stuff should be done

7 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 1

So many of them just stand there doing nothing

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The cinematic trailers for SW:TOR were so great. Loved the first three for the original game. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NuNvCOUy1Ts

7 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Good thing everyone remembered the book of bad guys always swing wide and attack one at a time!

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

SAUCE: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9W5AlkGiGA0

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Scene above is about 3:30 in to the trailer

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

<3 Senya

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I would just stand back and do this exact fight just force wielding the lightsaber from afar

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Or force push em all over the edge...

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

this is such an impactful fight to. no music, just sound of people hitting people

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

ah the ol' "lets just stand around and go at her 1 at a time" approach.

7 years ago | Likes 94 Dislikes 2

You think at least one would be like "I'll just cut through my buddy and her, and be a hero"

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Well they're on a small platform and are trying to not get in each other's way

7 years ago | Likes 39 Dislikes 2

They're actually not doing a bad job, they go 2-3 at a time. Fighting as a group is weirder than you might think. Don't wanna hurt allies

7 years ago | Likes 23 Dislikes 1

Might help if they tried to use their sabers as fencing weapons instead of swinging like they're choppin a tree and only 1 swing/second

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

I run sabre in fencing, and have watched master sabre-ists. It's like watching a seizure

7 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

It wouldn't make a good cinematic because its basically a moment of everyone spazzing out and then it ends...

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Just gotta do it artistically like a Chinese Kung Fu movie

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

They're the royal guards. She's the Empress. "Stop her without hurting her" was pretty much their orders.

7 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 1

These irredeemable monster bad guys really fight fair and co-operatively, don't they.

7 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

Corn on, the cob. Corn on, the kebob....

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It's a shame this game is dead. I really used to enjoy playing it

7 years ago | Likes 39 Dislikes 2

Sadly, the game was dead on release. I loved the questing, but, raiding was overly simplified.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

It's not dead. It merged servers and has a somewhat active population.

7 years ago | Likes 24 Dislikes 0

If "dead" by comparing it to WoW, yeah. But no, it's not dead. People just get too nitpicky of the changes (which I can't entirely blame)

7 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 0

For those wondering this is a CGI theatrical trailer for KotOR

7 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 6

*SWtOR

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

*The Old Republic

7 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

Is the title the sauce?

7 years ago | Likes 235 Dislikes 7

Very nice sauce you got there. Tasty?

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yeah. It's the 4th expansion fo Star Wars: The Old Republic.

7 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

The Knights are the guys in yellow. Game is Star Wars the Old Republic iirc

7 years ago | Likes 111 Dislikes 3

=( I don't like that game though

7 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 3

I LOVED that game until they changed crafting. I haven’t played since :(

7 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 0

post-craft player here. how was it changed that killed it for you m

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I played with my husband. We would both specialize in different crafts. Part of the fun for us was crafting for each other and also 1/2

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Crafting for the npcs. 2/2

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It was amazing, until "free2play"model.Granted it could be better, but for what it was. Instead became "sub$15 and be prepared to spend more"

7 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

It's not pay to win but If you sub it's worth it.

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

That's technically true,, but it does put you at a severe disadvantage to anyone that doesn't. CAN win isn't the same as fun and fair.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

TBF though F2P players can only get to level like 50 or 60. So they're not up against fully geared level 70's

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

They're Nathema Zealots, part of the weird turn expansions 3 and 4 (KotFE and KotET) took. Decent story but doesn't mesh well.

7 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Why do those guys in the back just wait? I would have srabbed her in the back.

7 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Because the cameraman is behind her and they don't have beef with him

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Because then you get to spend decades being slowly tortured to death for killing the Empress. They wanted to stop her without hurting her

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Why cant the movies ever be this good? Why?!

7 years ago | Likes 24 Dislikes 2

Because Disney

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Disney had nothing to do with ep1/2/3

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Cost and time. These cutscenes take an absolute age to produce at high cost.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

This has to be awesome for a few minutes. Movies have to be awesome for a few hours. My guess anyway

7 years ago | Likes 22 Dislikes 0

Correct. Making light saber scenes fun and interesting on a conceptual level is easy compared to crafting a compelling narrative.

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

TLJ throne room battle.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

There are evem issues with the throne room battle

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

This is 15 seconds of action. You think this would make a good 2 hour movie?

7 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

I have seen the YouTube "all the cinematics" for TOR and TFU multiple times, yes the make good 2 hr movies.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I mean.... have you seen the animate clone wars movie?

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Actually... yes

7 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

It would be awesome. It'll just never make its money back

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

If all it is, is two hours of lightsabre fighting, I'm gonna be bored about 20 minutes in.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I’ve never played, but I love the cinematic trailers. The duels are so fluid, the music is on point, everything.

7 years ago | Likes 513 Dislikes 1

The game was fun until it went “free to play” and they started charging for every little thing that normally comes free in MMOs

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

the game and community was really good but end game content killed the game and most people left

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The camera sure ain't fluid.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

For some reason I read that as "the mucus is on point" xD

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Cinematic are really the only great thing. The game ain’t too good in my opinion.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Fluent but unrealistic. You can see how they are waiting to fight because the protagonist is still fighting another one.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 8

It's star wars, lol.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

well then using "logic" if you swing that laser sword through her while shes fighting your buddy, itd slice through both of them

7 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Sith dont fight well when grouped up. They prefer 1v1 cause the hate blinds them to anything they are not focused on.

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Sith don’t like fighting multiple enemies at one time, because as you know, “there can only be 2”

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yeah kotr trailers are to mmos what mobile game trailers are to mobile game play

7 years ago | Likes 32 Dislikes 1

Yea that wiffle-bat lightsaber feel kinda took it away for me, but that's whatcha get with MMOs.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Kotor*

7 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

SWTOR

7 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Diablo and starcraft cinematics were my fav when younger..this is...well 2018 holy shit.

7 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

capt'n here, swtor:knights of the eternal throne launched on 2016 *flies away*

7 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Cause it's made by Blur Studio a vfx studio who is responsible for some of the best cgi trailer ever, also they're the one that made the

7 years ago | Likes 113 Dislikes 1

They also made the Halo 2 Anniversary Cutscenes which are gorgeous.

7 years ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 0

And the cutscenes the halo wars games

7 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

And the OG wars as well iirc. They also are permanently partnered with 343i for all future Halo game cinematics

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

First deadpool possible as it's their cgi scene that convinced the studio to make it and it was so good it is as it is in the movie, it's

7 years ago | Likes 75 Dislikes 0

You use "it" wayy too much.

7 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Lol only realized now that you mention it damn again

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The highway scene at the beginning

7 years ago | Likes 34 Dislikes 0

Too bad the game can't live up to that in any way possible. It's a shitty game.

7 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 4

No it's not. It's an MMO but it's not shitty. It has declined due to budget cuts and dev cuts thanks to EA though.

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

Imo all mmos are shitty, so this one is as well :p

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

I’d say it’s actually went up in quality over the years, it’s just the early decline and f2p fucked it over.

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

The problem is they don't have the resources to keep up both story and MMO content. Or fix the millions of bugs, which keep getting worse.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

This from TOR? Is the game still alive?

7 years ago | Likes 110 Dislikes 5

I maxed a BH. Played a few other characters. It wasn't what was promised in my opinion. Never is, so I didn't get disappointed.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

But the problem with the game, as always, was EA. Rushed the release, slashed the dev team, and drained all the money from it.

7 years ago | Likes 30 Dislikes 2

Fuck EA. So many games ruined. My poor mass effect 3. 6 1/2 years later, I still see that ending every time I close my eyes.

7 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 2

I actually loved ME3 but never played the original un-patched ending.

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Yes. The design decisions of 2015 and 2016 killed the game's population, but it had been doing really well up through Shadow of Revan.

7 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Right there with you man those where the glory days. Swtor was really looking up then and then boom kotfe

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

They're releasing a new expansion next year some time.

7 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I’m still playing for the story itself occasionally. still seems worth it for that at least.

7 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Same

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Its worth it for the story

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It’s FTP now, still got a small community, they never really got rolling ‘cause they released an unfinished product... so much potential.

7 years ago | Likes 81 Dislikes 0

I tried downloading and playing but it just refuses to work

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It's a finished product. Until eternal throne. It's been running on skeleton crew for a while. It's just a money grab scheme atm

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

This. You can play through the story solo, play it for the story.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Naw they did get going, had a population of over 1.7 mil at its highest. But continual cuts to devs and budgets killed it over 2015-16.

7 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

1.7million out of how many Star Wars fans? Rushing an unfinished product to release in a world with WoW doomed it to failure.

7 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Oh it's had way more players than that, estimated around 6 million I think. But the advertising for the game was always poor, sadly.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It's EA's fault it didn't succeed because it easily could have, but EA doesn't know how to manage an MMO (or anything, really).

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I dunno man, I played that for so many fucking hours. So many. Loved it.

7 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

The pvp was wonderful.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Just curious, was that before or after the Realm Reborn reboot?

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Before mostly, but I tend to go on my main and do the expansion story modes when they come out.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

They never got rolling because they released a wow in space without endgame.

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

its...its nothing like WoW

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Oh please. They copied WoW's old talent system 1:1 just as Blizzard switched out of it and built identical gameplay on it.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The talent trees and ui were exact copies of wow. SWTOR was way better at storytelling tho

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

So you give one example, that doesn't effect gameplay nor the story, and claim it's a WoW clone?

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Oh well, back to pre-cu SWG I go ? #SWGemu

7 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 1

Combat upgrades....

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

SWG Legends is a great working server with a pretty decent size player base. Worth a shot if you loved SWG.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

are there servers?! i fucking loved that game!

7 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

There are, and a few different emulators to try depending on your preference pre cu or or post. Some are farther along than others.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

SWG was my first MMO love

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0
