"we're not changing, because we got it right the 1st time" - Ford GT

The rare West Virginia(WV) Beetle

10 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 1

Your comment made me chuckle, thanks for pointing it out mate, I fix it now.

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I love how faithful the Ford GT and Mustang recreations are. Say what you will about dependability, but Ford knows how to throw it back.

10 years ago | Likes 50 Dislikes 4

only usaians would think that. everyone else just thinks ugh those american cars are as ugly and bad whether new or old

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 5

South African born Brit living in NZ that begs to differ here mate.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

It's no more similar (at least in this image) than the Camaro and Challenger are.

10 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

The Challenger is probably the most faithful recreation, but the 05'-07' Mustang had retro looks and new style that made it their own IMO

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Challenger looks sexy as hell

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Ford did them both in 2005, well before the GM folk.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

well the GT40 was a literal remake and the mustang stopped looking cool when they tried to change it. same with the corvette

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 12

FOH

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 2

I used to have an '87 Buick grand national turbo - my ex totaled it - and my 70-year-old mom has a '66 GTO big block; that turbo GN screamed

10 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

I can see why they're your 'ex' then. I always wanted a GN. I was lucky enough to see a GNX in person.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Been rebuilding mine after the motor took a dump on me a year ago. I can't wait to drive it again.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

So difficult anymore to find a GN or a Maurader that isn't ragged to hell.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I had my eye on one in 2005 to replace my rekt GN and was going to make an offer…It was parked 200 yards from the beach when Katrina hit

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Oh man. That would have made me start crying all over again.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I always hoped they would properly bring back the gnx

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Wouldn't it be nice if Buick hadn't sold out to the geriatric crowd?

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 2

GNX=Love I used to smoke Corvettes Mustangs; when they'd ask to race my "Monte Carlo SS "... I'd say 'Sure...wanna bet $100 on it'?

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

You spelled Lamborghini wrong throughout.

10 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 3

Fixed it. Thanks for right spelling

10 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

And Lamborghini started with tractors not cars if you want a true before and after.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Cars are beautiful.

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I'd stab a baby for a 71 skyline

10 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 1

You could get a regular skyline, but not a GTR. The S20 engine alone is worth stupid money

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I'm not a crazy Skyline fan, but +1 for stabbin' a baby to get the car you love. So apparently I am just plain crazy.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Years and years later and the Ford Explorer is still unappealing ????

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

And still chock full of engine issues

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Atleast do the Suburban some justice. Didn't become the longest continuous production nameplate by accident

10 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

The Countach is such a sexy car...

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

How much has the Mitsubishi Evolution actually, EVO'ed?

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Volvo doesn't look like it has 'volved much, either.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

RIP the viper

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

The new Nissan GT-Rs aren't even close to being Skylines though.

10 years ago | Likes 36 Dislikes 8

Because they are so much better and faster? Old GTRs are more affordable that's about it. They don't compare to the current gen at all.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

No no, badging wise. I'm aware the modern GT-R is better. The modern Skyline is not.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Well they actually do. Awd. Turbo 6 cylinder. Granted v6 rather than inline 6. But we'll gloss over that. It's still a giant killer.

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

All of the GTRS are pure sex tho. Every single dang one.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

So were skylines

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

You kidding me? They're one of the only under 3-second 0-60 mph accelerators.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

My point is the badging. Skyline and GT-R were originally two separate badges that ended up combining for a while and recently were split 1/

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

again. The GT-R is the giant killer and the Skyline went back to being a luxury sedan or something.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Granted, they have some major differences, but the GT-R is still named as the R35. It retains the double rear lights and 4WD.

10 years ago | Likes 25 Dislikes 0

Yeah but that's not a Skyline thing. The Skyline and the GT-R used to be different models and combined for several decades before 1/2

10 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 3

splitting again. The currentish model Skyline is actually sold as a Lexus in NA.

10 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 5

Think you're confusing the r35 with an infinity g35/g37 it was only a Nissan Skyline in Japan . Infinity everywhere else.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Yeah the video was in America. They didn't know so they laughed and laughed and laughed.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

And Australia

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

And they share more in common with the Nissan 350Z/370Z than they do previous Skyline models anyway.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Fuck. Infinity, not Lexus. God how am I that stupid.

10 years ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 1

lol nice catch

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Saw a vid where people made fun of someone who put skyline badge on an Infiniti. Little did they know....

10 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Lamborghini old should've been a tractor lol

10 years ago | Likes 132 Dislikes 3

Ferrari, too.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

No, an old Ferrari would be an Alfa Romeo

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I concede.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yeah, but everyone had a black Countach on their wall as a child. EVERYONE.

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Wrong. Mine was red.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

RIP Pontiac

10 years ago | Likes 210 Dislikes 4

RIP Saab

10 years ago | Likes 50 Dislikes 1

I was happy to see them. the 60/70 cars like a 92 with a 96, 99, 900, 93 would be cool. Used to have a sonnet that'd be cool to see too

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Sad though how it all went down with them

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

RIP Pontiac... But they deserved it. They produced some of the worst cars the world has ever seen.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

The G8s were ahead of their time

10 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

The G8's weren't Pontiacs.

10 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 7

Yeah.. they were. They had a Pontiac badge on the front. I know they were Holden underneath but so was the GTO. And the new Chevy SS.

10 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

A rose by any other name is still a Holden.

10 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 2

Holden and Pontiac are/were both subsidiaries of GM. Different badges in different regions isn't uncommon.

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Oldsmobile

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Its funny because the 2006 Pontiac GTO is a Holden Monaro.

10 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 2

Aye, some beautiful classics from Pontiac.

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Thinks it's a Pontiac

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Or Cadillac, maybe

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Poor old.... who was it again that thought they were Cadillacs?

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

My friend, Monica.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The VAAAAST majority of Pontiac's were shit autos anyway.

10 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 6

Badge engineered but still better steering ratio, suspension, interior layout, and instrument layout than the base Chevy/Olds counterpart.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

For the last 25 years or so anyways.

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

The Aztec was the best looking car ev... I'm sorry I can't finish that with a straight face

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Come now, Dean is an Impala guy...

10 years ago | Likes 36 Dislikes 1

And RIP Impala, too.

10 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

But they still make Impala's.. Or did the car on the show get destroyed or something?

10 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Impala requires no apostrophe in the plural. It's just "Impalas".

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

They neutered the Impala. The old ones were so cool. The new ones are just standard compact cars. They got lame.

10 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 2

It whole going from RWD to FWD that make chevy people upset. My honest opinion they just reuse the name that's about it. It's Heritage is lo

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Long gone.

Ass-engined... Noice one +1

10 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 1

As a Porsche owner, we love this. :)

10 years ago | Likes 175 Dislikes 1

Apparently VW did too.

10 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 0

But there is nothing I wouldn't trade for a 1938 VW Bug with the 1300cc AC engine. Work of art, right there.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Not complying with EPA emissions regulation?

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

So by not complying there cars with diesel engines got between 50 and 70 MPG. Now with compliance ive seen reports of less than 35.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Idk where you heard that but the EPA reported a drop from 53 to 50 mpg, not too bad but still significant.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

To a lesser degree.

10 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

Also Lamborghini

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I love how they're all classy photoshoots and then Jeep and Subaru just happened to park next to eachother

10 years ago | Likes 48 Dislikes 0

Are the subaru even remotely the same model? Is the newer one even a hatchback?

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yup, both Imprezas

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Well kind of, the one on the left is an outback sport, the one on the right is a (I think) wrx. both impreza variants.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yeah, those "spotted in the wild" ones are great!

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Since when has Subaru gave a damn about the looks.

10 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

It's a Jeep/Subaru thing.

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

I prefer the older versions of the cars posted in here.

10 years ago | Likes 88 Dislikes 18

Same with the exception of the Bugatti because... God damn that thing is powerful.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

The new Cherokee looks like a sad turd

10 years ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 0

That's what's great about the ford GT. You can't improve on a perfect design.

10 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Depends. Some of the old ones have a lovely simplicity. Some of the new ones are more elegant.

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

The new ones look like molds for jelly.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I was about to say that myself.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Agreed on all counts, except maybe the Ford Explorer. Unless you want to count the Bronco as the older version of the Explorer.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I love curvy sweeping futuristic things, so no go on the old ones for me.

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

On some

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Agreed. I'll take the lot.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Knew someone would say that, oh here you go, dropped your fedora.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

You mean, the ones designed before having Wind Resistance (and thus fuel efficiency) in mind?

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Unpopular opinion: I prefer new models on all cars. (Except the VW Beetle)

10 years ago | Likes 26 Dislikes 3

Fucked up if true

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

I almost downvoted this, but remembered it was an unpopular opinion. Good on ya.

10 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 2

Especially the corolla

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

The old corolla looks like the kid in junior high whose lunch money I used to steal. It was me, it was my lunch money that was stolen.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

Ditto. The classic Jag E type is SO sexy.

10 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

TBF that F Type is one of the best looking cars on sale today! That noise too!

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Sadly it's the ugliest mk3 variant in that photo, earlier cars were prettier

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Well you gotta hand it to few of them like the Mini and Audi, but overall, excluding Lada, all cars have improved drastically

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Even the Subaru?

10 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

I drive a 98 outback and 02 impreza and have tried new outbacks and imprezas but second gen imprezas and legacies are still my favorite.

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Impossibru!

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

or the Volvo?

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Own a 1990 BMW, wouldn't have it any other way.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Unless it's a 3 series. E30 is prime time. Nothing like driving one of those and I'll swear by that until I die

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I've never enjoyed driving another car more than the E30.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Thats why I came back to it. Went to a B5 S4 and loved the power but my god did I miss RWD and handling. Just got Coilovers and more coming

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

1990 325i, putting CAtuned coilovers, new suspension, gaskets, and more this summer.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Including the Honda civic? As for the Nsx I am 100% with you...

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Dude that old civic looks awesome

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

I supposed it's just not a style I like perhaps, but I do know they can be quite fast due to them being very light.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Also in all fairness I'm not a huge hatchback fan, but the new Civc looks pretty nice. I just saw one today at a dealer. (1/2)

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

(2/2) I still like my 2015 Civic Si more though. It's just a beautiful car in my opinion.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

"Old McLaren" is a McLaren F1, 17 years old and still the fastest N/A production car in the world!

10 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 1

"fastest N/A production car in the world!" That sounds impressive, but it's not.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 3

Yeah a non turbo non supercharged production car that can do over 230mph isn't impressive at all...

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I didn't say that. I meant that americans mostly make bulky and clumsy cars, not fast cars.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

17 years old and it still looks modern.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

+1 for the batmobiles

10 years ago | Likes 269 Dislikes 12

Wish it had the new BvS batmobile. That looked bad ass.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That was OP's Bat Tax

10 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 0

1995 was a dark year for jeep when they were bought by Daimler

1967 rag top Jeepster, red and white

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

They have the Cherokee on there... The new one is a damn shame.

10 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Why?

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Fiat underpinnings to not make a good 4x4. Not nearly as rugged as the original XJ

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Personal opinion, the classic cherokee looked like a jeep in every way, performed like one too. The new cherokees are plastic commuter cars.

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Alright America we need to have a talk, you used to make these fucking gorgeous machines yet almost every single time you've fucked it (1)

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

up doing some modern redesign. The fuck're you doing over there? The Viper's still pretty though, and the 'vettes are bad.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Camaro, Challenger, Impala are all fucking ugly. Mustang is tolerable, not ugly, but lost its unique look completely.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Yeah, they used to be such lovely cars to look at, but instead they just made 'em all really bland and uninteresting.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Don't get me started on what they did to the Charger...

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

4 doors....

I was looking for this comment

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Cherokee is that 1%

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

I'm a Honda fan(not ricers though) and I'd say the Old Civic is part of the 1%

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The new cherokee's look like a child's toy.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Wtf happened to the Cherokee? The new one looks like a sad turd

10 years ago | Likes 44 Dislikes 2

This is also a cherokee vs a grand cherokee. Jeep Cherokee was killed off in early 2000s

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

That's what happens when fiat buys it Chrysler.. You get mutated jeeps.

10 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

They've been making that shitty grand Cherokee since before fiat

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Also, where the Wranglers at?

10 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

No kidding.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That's the Cherokee. Grand Cherokee is much nicer.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Came to say this. Thank you

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Ugliest car on the road.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

They are completely destroying the jeep line. I own 2 jeeps. 86 comanche and 93 grand Cherokee. The new crap is so far from what a (con)

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

A comanche? I'm not sure I'd hold that up as the greatness of jeep.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

What's your opinion on the XJ Cherokee then?

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The MJ is a solid jeep. Easy to modify. Great off road capabilities. All of the jeep properties with the ability to haul stiff? Greatness.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Guy probably thinks the XJ is great and hates the MJ lol.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Jeep is supposed to be. Way too low to the ground. Crap traction control. Terrible turning radius. Don't even get me started on the (con)

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Hellcat jeep. Jeeps should have low end torque and not care about overall hp and top speed. They should be easy to work on and modify. (con)

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I'll be honest, after driving a SRT8 GC, a Hellcat version REALLY intrigues me.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I work for Fiat Chrysler. 3rd generation in my family to do so. Only owned Chrysler products. But these new jeep products hurt my feelings.

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Sadly Sergio is too concerned with stuffing Hellcats into every car FCA builds to care about anything else.
