That cop just fucked everything up when he demanded the guy get out of the car after the guy responded to his question with a no. The cop doesn't have any legal justification to make him get out of the car and now even if they find a dead body in the car they can't use it as evidence anymore because that cop got his panties in a bunch acting all authority like.
Pennsylvania V mimms. Scotus ruled cops can make the driver exit a vehicle. In Maryland V Wilson they ruled that this extends to passengers as well. In arizona v Johnson they backed this up by saying that during a traffic stop passengers are seized during it so they can be held for the duration of the stop.
Yeah. Skit is intentional and is up front, and you can act. Staged is trying to make something appear as a genuine reaction when it's not. One is just acting, one is just lying.
Humor is highly regional as well. Which leads me to ask you (and this is a sincere question, I'm really curious), what are those markers of comedy you see? For me as German, there aren't any obvious markers of comedy I recognize in that, which doesn't mean there aren't, just that it's a type of comedy I'm obviously unaccustomed with, and I'd like to learn more about it.
Well almost every line is a joke, for one. The guy is playing a dude-bro character. No one would mistake a mailman as a suspicious person. No one would talk about themselves so glowingly in third person to a cop. No one would get the LGBT acronyms that wrong and mixed up with something very different. No one would mistake a cop's partner for a homosexual couple. No one would say a second cop wearing an identical uniform is suspicious.
This is just off the dome, I could go line by line.
Okay I give you the last two as obvious, but your first ones need first hand knowledge of interaction with american cops. Which I for my part do not have. So I suppose it's obvious for americans.

“We got a call.”
“Yeh, well I don’t talk to cops without my lawyer present, so, have a good night.”
Kazpur81S
I assume the down voters are people that talk to cops without their lawyer present. Cops aren’t your friend.

Aside from what everyone else said that’s beyond wrong. Please don’t hand out that kind of misinformation.

It's a skit. Sounds better then staged. People always say staged these days... Yes it was done intentionally but in comedy they call it a skit...
Fuckimgurcunts
Yeah. Skit is intentional and is up front, and you can act. Staged is trying to make something appear as a genuine reaction when it's not. One is just acting, one is just lying.
eronth
Honestly fair. "Staged" is when it's a lie meant to look real, "skit" is when it's for giggles and not meant to be taken serious.
davefleming19903
Like a play, something to be taken seriously
mushuporky
It's all shits and giggles until someone giggles and shits
dReDone
Yeah I was going to say I don't think this guy meant it to look real, but decided it was too many words. Imgur doesn't like long explanation!
TripleDane
Why many words, when few ok ?
tzahtman
Pretty sure skit is just slang for defecating.

Not everyone is from the US and has any first hand experience with US cops to compare this to.

This is what I mean. Regionality has literally nothing to do with it. There are plenty of other very obvious signifiers that this is comedy.
TanithRosenbaum
