My personal policy doesn't cover caring about CEOs. Perhaps he should have gone premium..

For one beautiful moment, the *entire* nation was truly unified! Someday, politicians here will realize fighting balls-to-the-walls for single-payor/Medicare for all will be worth election paydirt!

We need to expand the idea of "remember, we can always just kill you" to all billionaires

the only way this incident would be any more humorous was if the guy had been raped to death by a gorilla instead of getting shot. and that has absolutely nothing to do with the fact that gorilla death rape is never not funny.

Yeah, I know a bunch pf people who work at Optum/UHG, and the mood there is somber.

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Happy thought: for the rest of their lives, every one of these bastards will wonder if the person walking toward them is about to kill them.

2 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

"see what it feels like to be absolutely powerless?"

2 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Why are cops even trying to find the guy. I thought they loved the Punisher? /s

2 years ago | Likes 24 Dislikes 1

I like the name The Adjustor for this guy.

The chef in our restaurant brought it up during family meal and our whole team cheered.

As an over-the-phone bilingual medical interpreter, even your disclaimers need to die.

Snitches get stitches

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Could be worse, we could tell them we value their lives as much as they value ours.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I wish we could find out what they're actually thinking right now

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

This is such a “let them eat cake” moment.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Pfft. They didn't even delay the meeting he was supposed to lead.

2 years ago | Likes 110 Dislikes 2

That feels extremely on-brand

2 years ago | Likes 62 Dislikes 0

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The meeting was pre-existing, you really think they're gonna do anything for it?

2 years ago | Likes 38 Dislikes 1

They had his profile off the website by end of day.

2 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 0

If you die at your desk, your job will be posted before your obituary is.

2 years ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 0

The corporation keeps chugging along. The CEO is just the best paid cog in the machine. A part that can and will be replaced.

2 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

I can only imagine what their billionaire friend group chats are looking like right now. The things i would do to see what they are saying and how badly they are scared and panicking right now…

2 years ago | Likes 33 Dislikes 2

They're a combination of furious and fantasizing to each other about punishing the plebes for joking about this stuff, I guarantee it.

2 years ago | Likes 28 Dislikes 0

I doubt those scumbags are worried in the slightest, only one ceo got shot. Now if 20 or more ceo's had been shot, then they might care.

2 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

2 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Haha, I think we're all waiting! Get the crowd funder going!

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Just jockeying for position to take their spot. All about the power and money. It didn't hapoen to them directly, so they don't actually care.

2 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

Yeah, a family member was saying "They shouldn't be making jokes, a person is dead who had family who loved them" and my sister pointed out his "Loving Family" is more likely concerned about the state of their inheritance.

2 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

I'm not even from the US, and still laughing my ass off over the memes

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Wondering who is submitting their resume' to replace him?

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Better yet, are they accepting nominations?

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Well if you can't laugh at a person being murdered on the streets of New York what hope is there left for humanity?

2 years ago | Likes 125 Dislikes 9

Remember when Trump joked about shooting someone in the middle of NYC and getting away with it? Turns out it's actually really funny.

2 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

The prospect of getting rid of these monsters is our hope. The unfortunate reality is that this will just be a one off.

2 years ago | Likes 26 Dislikes 2

You think they don't laugh about all the money they make by killing people through health care denials?

2 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 2

I think this would make a tiny square in a randmcnally textbook. [In 2024 a health care CEO got assassinated and most of the public laughed]

2 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Our former and next president thought he could do it and not lose a single voter

2 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

Reminds me of a scene in Joes Apartment when main dude is walking over a "dead body" and trips. It's just some due doing a "performance art" piece lmao

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Depends on the person. Personally if that person led a good life, no I would never laugh, if they worked for a corporation that put money over people, that led people to suffer, then yes I admit. I do find it ironically funny

2 years ago | Likes 53 Dislikes 1

Should take a note from Brutus and mint a coin. One for each claim they denied while the dude was CEO. Then use the proceeds to fund those they denied.

2 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

OP probably. Also he’s correct.

2 years ago | Likes 21 Dislikes 0

Oh I don't find it ironically funny. I find it earnestly funny :3 and also inspiring.

2 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

None, the whole thing seems like a distraction cause the start of Fallout is happening.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

I mean, I'm reporting every pro-murder post I see under "hateful ideology".
Not sure why you basement dwellers think murder is fine as long as it happens to people you dislike.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 14

2 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 2

its not that i dislike them, its the fact that they kill so many people by proxy cause they make them choose between their life or bankruptcy when they deny the claims for the smallest of reasons& even installed an AI to deny the claims so they get denied for things as small as a spelling mistake now. tell me why you think it is okay when they kill people by proxy? why its okay no one can take them to court& win or they'd pay a tiny fine that doesn't even fit the crime& allow them continue killn

2 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

It's part of the social construct.
We're using the classic system:

The rich let everybody have decent standard of living in exchange for not being disembowled in the streets in front of their family.

Hey, could you please explain why the book you quoted promotes sex slavery?

In Numbers: 31, Moses, the guy who claimed to receive ten commandments from sky daddy, asks Israeli soldiers who returned from war with captured people to kill men and women, and to keep virgin girls as sex slaves for themselves. A priest by Moses' side then asks the soldiers for God's share in sex slaves to be given to the priests, including Moses.

Please explain why every copy of this book shouldn't be burned down.

2 years ago | Likes 22 Dislikes 2

hey look, a quote from that book full of slavery genocide and rape presented as virtuous

2 years ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 1

Not funny

2 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 74

Correct. It's not funny, it's hilarious.

2 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 2

Cancer patients fighting both their cancer and the insurance companies is not funny, but that CEO enjoyed it very much. He set the tone of this whole farce. We’re following along.

2 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 1

It's another one guys. Man the harpoons.

2 years ago | Likes 21 Dislikes 1

You're right. It's fucking hilarious.

2 years ago | Likes 40 Dislikes 2

Then why am I laughing so hard still?

2 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 1

It very much is.

2 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 2

It's very funny

2 years ago | Likes 47 Dislikes 2

It may not be funny necessarily, it is a serious matter. I'm not laughing personally, just hopeful that this leads to a pattern, and actual change.

2 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

Seens pretty fuckin funny to me. Maybe he should have bought a bullet proof vest with his over abundance of wealth, poor planning in my opinion

2 years ago | Likes 25 Dislikes 1

If he didn't want to be shot, he shouldn't have gone out dressed like that. He was asking for it.

2 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

He was asking for it, did you see how underdressed (for bullets) he was?

2 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Possibly other healthcare execs as well. I sure as hell hope so, 'cos your system is completely and utterly unsustainable in USA.

2 years ago | Likes 361 Dislikes 1

You could kill every insurance executive in America and not change the system in the slightest.
Want a better solution? Vote. Every single election, for every single office.
Don't like high--deductible health plans? Don't ever vote for a republican; that little innovation comes from them.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I hope this will change things in americas healthcare for the better and sorry his death doesn’t make me happy but not losing sleep either

2 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

It's a fucking crime against humanity is what it is.

2 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

2 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Doubt it. Probably view it as an isolated incident. Need more occurences.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Gonna take more than one murder to make them drop their blindfolds made of money....
...and that's ok.

Oh wow, he was willing to be the crappiest person for the lowest payout? Well, at least that issue solved itself to some peoples' satisfaction.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Let's start a CEO deadpool! Make things a little more interesting! I'll put $5 down on the highest paid parasite!

2 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 1

Can I be the CEO of this pool?

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yup, killing a CEO will totally fix the USA health care system /s. It will make it worse.

2 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 6

Tell that to the French monarchy... oh, wait that might be kind of hard since they lost their heads. When those at the top of our society consider the rest of us expendable it is time for them to be removed and we know they won't just voluntarily step down.

2 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

I am not convinced it could make it worse. It's pretty damned bad already...

2 years ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 1

A) more security means prices will go up b) security checkins at clinics like at airports, no bags, arrive 1 hour early... If it gets real bad trump will use it as an excuse to declare a national emergency and impose martial law (his Reichstag fire). He is just begging for an excuse

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 8

As mentioned, I am not convinced of that.

2 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 1

The more they pull…

2 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

First point- this is an industry where price paid and cost of service are not related. Second point - if someone is looking for an excuse, they'll find it. Regardless of the authenticity of the reason. May as well get some good done first.

2 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

Will use increased security as an excuse to raise rates
