ICE are literally snatching people up off the street and the 2nd amendment clowns are not out there all "pew pew maddafakers!!". This is EXACTLY what the 2nd amendment was written about, not for some dude names Kyle to hoard 58 AR15's with silencers and bump-stocks.
Because the second you start coordinating it becomes a crime. And if you don't coordinate, you can't excise the whole problem. So peaceful protesting seems to be the safer option. A gun isn't some magic talisman of power.
"Boy? Go get my 7.62..... No, not that one..... No, that's the hunting one. Yeah the burgler 7.62....no,... no, that's your mothers I said get my one... No dammit thats not even fully auto... Aww geeze I'll get it myself..."
Ok guns are neat, the way they work how different firing systems work, bolt carriers, trigger groups, configurations..they are just cool machines. In video games I hoard weapons, collect weapons look for the iconic and cool ones even if they don't perform as well...that said, this is pretty excessive
The second amendment was meant to preclude the us from having a standing army, while fulfilling national defense through militias. It’s a ridiculous anachronism.
Each state having a standing militia would be fucking disastrous anyway. You know damn well that Texas and Oklahoma would launch strikes on California if they could.
From what I remember, the original context of when this image was taken, is that they own a gun shop. I agree that's a lot of firearms. But if it were any other item, nobody would care how much they had in stock.
I mean, I've worked for a few "mom and pop" secondhand stores. They took any excess inventory to their home. I can't imagine it'd be different for a gun shop. Whatever doesn't fit on the shelves gets stored at home, waiting for its turn. It's easy and they don't have to pay for a storage unit.
"A well-armed household, being necessary to maintain the erection of the breadwinning male figure, must always be facilitated for small-dick losers who dream of shooting pedophiles even though that would technically be suicide." That's what they think the 2A says.
The 2nd doesn't mandate the formation of well-regulated militias, it notes that they are very important, and aren't possible if the right of the people to keep and bear arms is infringed.
The people that are supposed to be forming these militia are the people who have a sense of civic responsibility, i.e. THE LEFT, not the right.
The fact that ignorant hayseeds have most of the guns is not the hayseeds fault, it's YOURS, for not accepting your obligation to your country and arming up.
I mean, I'm farther left than even most of this site, competitively shoot, and wholeheartedly agree with your assessment.
But that guy definitely has a problem. I see tons of AR variants that probably all shoot the same caliber the same way, way too many polymer-framed handguns that I'd bet money 75% shoot 9mm, etc.
Guy has an acquisition disorder. I can't even call it collecting. Obviously there are some unique ones there, but this is just kind of a junk pile.
I love seeing stuff like this. Because you know these people have lots of guns. But 9 times out of 10, you know what people like this don't have? Lots of ammo for those guns. All the guns in the world won't do you shit if you don't have ammo to shoot.
And to be clear, to effectively leverage an arsenal of that size, you're talking ammo counts in the hundreds of thousands. And you better hope to God you never have to try to mobilize with all that shit because it's all getting left behind.
News reports about nut job shooters often say they had 'over 1,000 rounds' in their home storage. Which sounds like a lot, unless you go to the range more than once a year. Any sort of reasonable practice with a fire arm is 100 to 200 rounds.
Exactly. 1000 rounds isn't much at all. If I'm in a fire fight and I have 1,000 rounds, I'm not taking an offensive position. I'm using that shit to get me away from that fight.
They're always there, they flair up every now and then throughout history. They're always in the worst places at the right times to absolutely fuck things up to. You can call it whatever you want, some people call it evil. The one thing it always does is point the finger at everyone else for the things it's doing. I sometimes get the distinct impression they'd jam you and everything and everyone you love feet first into a wood chipper if it'd make them a buck though.
Depends on your income, or if he inherited from family, but yeah if this guy is blue collar and isnt getting 60 hours a week at underwater welding, hes probably spending too much . This is rich for lawyers lol.
It's fucking dumb and waste of money the above moron who owns all those guns. You can only reliably hold an assault rifle with two hands and even a hand gun. You get shot, that drops to 1%. You die, now your guns are the enemies and youe family is fucked. Like this is so fucking stupid it hurts. If you cannot kill others with 1 gun, you ain't gonna do shit with the 999 guns you own.
I agree that the number of guns on display in the picture is a waste of money, but you can make a legitimate case for having more than one rifle, albeit not dozens or hundreds. Home defense and hunting are very similar in that regard in that it is reasonable to have different guns for different ranges, calibers, light conditions, and so on. Heck, having one rifle with X caliber because the ammunition was cheap in 2018-2021 and another of Y caliber because that's what's cheap now has some sense.
If you wanted to argue that those adults are mentally ill for displaying their guns like that and having their children present for it I'd agree wholeheartedly. I'd also agree that if the funding for those guns came at the cost of the family it's an indicator of mental illness. I have concerns over just using the quantity of just guns as a deciding factor for mental illness though.
I mean I carry a handgun when I'm camping in the wilderness primarily because of bears and wild cats but ammosexuals are a danger to themselves and the public. I've had 2 or 3 run-ins with bears that were solo, thankfully, but it only takes 1 protective mother.

You've got problems. The kind of problems where maybe you shouldn't have any guns bc you got some kind of addiction or absolute fear or>
Or a dilution that somehow more guns are gonna make you more safe when id bet that statistically speaking more guns likely make you less safe, and more likely to experience robbery (again im betting/guessing i have no #'s on it). But outside of some kind collector value other than "this is just a good gun" or hunting/sport/arms dealing this is looking mental illness level gun ownership. I can also speak on that a bit as not only am i a gun owner, but i also know 2 legal arms dealers that >
Handle international arms dealing, as well as actually do big game hunting as well (licensed and permitted, and they use EVERY part of the animals hunted. Their cookouts are fun) that dont have even 1/4 of this amount of guns in their home, even with their collectibles. Im sure they would look at the collection and think its cool and all, but question why they are spread all over the porch and shit
Yea, for the most part for hunting I’d say that would cover it. I’m from an area where most hunters were also sport shooters and you don’t really wanna use your hunting stuff for sport stuff. At least for the most part depending on the sport.

GoldenKirito11
I’d argue it is when you have more guns than you have functional uses for and aren’t making a collection of historically relevant guns.
If you consistently hunt for multiple different animal types you need multiple different types of guns.
If you perform sport shooting in multiple different disciplines you’ll need multiple different types of guns for the disciplines.
Don’t have context for pic so won’t judge it.
Collecting mass weapons, for weapons sake, is most likely a problem.
