The problem is one person takes the orders and another person makes the drinks, it doesn't matter what it is. How is the second person supposed to know who it's for.

IMHO there's a certain amount of callousness and lack of understanding bc the employee was obviously told to do it for whatever reason by their employer and we all have been told to do something pointless that we personally wouldn't. This sentiment devalues the overall worth of service employees. Also, offending someone isn't the only way a person can be a dick.

When I was a service worker, I was annoyed by the shit I had to do, and I was annoyed by the people I was waiting on, and I know they got annoyed with me... its part of the territory. Its relatable. Huff and puff and be mad about it all you want, but every person in every aspect of any service interaction has been annoyed at some point.
