There was something called Hetero Awesome Fest a while back. It was hilarious and the people who attended were outnumbered by those who came to gawk at the attendees.

There was a group of white cis men who held a march a few years ago in Boston. They were just laughed at. Hecklers outnumbered marchers.

As a very rainbow person myself, I would not mind allies joining with their own flag? I get some people will be trying to be dicks but when you unironically just like "yeah! this is the point! love is great!" and party on... idk I'm just gonna pretend to have cracked the ice and stay positive, >x3

"straight pride" is the same as "all lives matter". obviously being comfortable with who you are and celebrating it is good, but the people using those terms are doing so to discredit the struggles of others in hopes of suppressing them

Y'know, that would be more than a little lovely: a bunch of straight folks having a little demonstrative symbol of how proud they are to march with their queer friends, family, and colleagues. "I'm proud to be straight, and I'm happy that they're not, and I'm pleased we can march together! Hooray for Love!!!" Of course, that's generally not how political displays work these days, but a person can dream.

If they want Straight Pride so badly, they can organize, build a community, and have the fucking tenacity to keep doing it for decades even though the world keeps trying to shut them down. Maybe in 30 years or so, corporations will start selling Straight Pride merch because they'll see a profitable market in it.
But they're just bitching and jealous because others achieved something that they won't even try.

A straight pride parade? Looks an awful lot like a regular pride parade, because being who you are is a thing to be proud of, no matter what flavour. I think that's what a lot of people misunderstand, pride is about the fight to be free from prejudice, if you're straight and being persecuted (you're not), then join a pride parade and celebrate yourself with all the other wonderful freaks and geeks. Maybe you'll learn something about yourself ;)
