I CANNOT reconcile that the people who went through the Holocaust because they were seen as inhuman could possibly think like this. I went through Hebrew school and it felt like 75% of what we talked about was the Holocaust and it Does. Not. Make. Sense. that they are doing the exact same thing.

They didn't. Those people are dead now, by and large. This is their children. As has been said by other people much more clearly than I can, to far too many of them 'Never Again' meant 'Never again to us' not 'Never Again' to anyone. They still see themselves as the righteous victims even as they shoot children in the head and run over innocents with bulldozers for being inconvenienced by their existence.
