There has been lots of christian anti-abortion violence too. Shootings (e.g., Dr. George Tiller), bomb threats, arson attacks on clinics etc. And extremists who shoot up Sikh temples or bomb mosques aren't atheists either. Back in the day, the KKK were also very vocal about their christian values. After all, they were the descendants of slave owners who used the bible to justify slavery.

There is not a single christian who "bears Christ's ideals", nor has there ever been one in history. If that makes self-identified christians not-christians, christianity never existed. But it did and does exist and has persecuted, tortured, murdered, raped, conquered, and genocided countless people in the last two millennia. You don't get to tell the victims of christian violence that their tormentors weren't really christians b/c you desperately want christianity to be a good thing. It's not.
