Cute, but totally scripted. Kids are oblivious, brutal, and honest. "What's the difference?" "Difference? Mate, she's in a bleeding wheelchair, what do you think?" They won't see race and gender as much, but they will just blurt it out. The abelist stuff will just pop out like it's nothing. It's just the other associations with those attributes they don't make. They'll just blurt out that someone is black or white, it doesn't mean anything to them, it's just a fact, no socioeconomic implications

I mean, this is nice and all but the thing about kids is, if the answer is too obvious but you, the PRESUMABLY smart adult, are asking anyway, they think it's a trick question. "We look different" therefore is not even considered as an answer to give. This is also why I'm a bit iffy about all the psych tests re: conservation, where they pour from a regular glass of juice into a thin but tall glass and ask the kid if there's more - they never seem to control for this effect in the ones I've seen.

Pretty easy to just edit footage and cut out everything that doesn’t match your narrative. It would also explain the awkward pauses, if they just keep asking the kids “ok, what else?” until they say something you like.

Yep. Prejudices are learned. I remember when my 3yo kid was trying to describe his friend from daycare, and the only visual descriptor he thought to use was "blue shoes, tall, curly hair". And his friend was the only black kid at daycare.
