Cute, but totally scripted. Kids are oblivious, brutal, and honest. "What's the difference?" "Difference? Mate, she's in a bleeding wheelchair, what do you think?" They won't see race and gender as much, but they will just blurt it out. The abelist stuff will just pop out like it's nothing. It's just the other associations with those attributes they don't make. They'll just blurt out that someone is black or white, it doesn't mean anything to them, it's just a fact, no socioeconomic implications
I mean, this is nice and all but the thing about kids is, if the answer is too obvious but you, the PRESUMABLY smart adult, are asking anyway, they think it's a trick question. "We look different" therefore is not even considered as an answer to give. This is also why I'm a bit iffy about all the psych tests re: conservation, where they pour from a regular glass of juice into a thin but tall glass and ask the kid if there's more - they never seem to control for this effect in the ones I've seen.
Pretty easy to just edit footage and cut out everything that doesn’t match your narrative. It would also explain the awkward pauses, if they just keep asking the kids “ok, what else?” until they say something you like.
Yea, they just take things as they are. Oh you have wheelchair and cant walk? Ok, wanna draw a unicorn with me? Youre black? Sure, grab a seat and lets chat about clouds. You have two moms? You wouldnt BELIEVE how big worm i found in the garden! The only little assholes i met while walking daughter in the kindergarden were tiny little mirrors of the assholes that walked them
Yep. Prejudices are learned. I remember when my 3yo kid was trying to describe his friend from daycare, and the only visual descriptor he thought to use was "blue shoes, tall, curly hair". And his friend was the only black kid at daycare.
I sure do remember knowing, as a child, that skin color or disabilities was something that you didn't comment. Kids are smarter then we think. Just because they don't say it on camera does not mean that they doesn't think it.
You misunderstand, my son from very early on would point at a picture of a kid with dark skin saying that was him if that kid was with a family in the picture that better fit his family setup.
Time travel back to 1931 and beat a weird new kink into Adolph Hitler with a riding crop, thus changing the timeline by making him into my personal, submissive, bdsm, whipping boy, so much so that he ends up doing a 180 and actually becomes chancellor of Germany while being a vocal proponent for the downtrodden and the marginalized peoples. Got you. Will begin Operation "Kink Hitler Into Not Being An Evil Shit"
So many insecure people. It's a shame they're so easily weaponised. We need to figure out how to get people angry at the actual culprits, not just blaming everyone around them.
But they don't talky to me...so now I'm gonna be a weirdo capitalist and stan Elon because memes are funny and he makes them and he's just like me fr fr. Doooooge Coin! Lmao!
Ackshyually, "video" comes from Latin and means "I see". You're referring to "audio", which means "I hear", or maybe the combination of the two, audio-video, often abbreviated AV.
Totally agree! Stickler comment tho, is British english really an accent? One could argue it was there first, making all other versions accents of english. Genuinely curious :)

We are all just spirits piloting flesh golems. What makes us different are our experiences and how we interpret them, not the flesh golems themselves.

Racism and bigotry are taught. Taught by adults, often intentionally.
PromoteWinnersCom
This is the same reason kids love muppets and cartoons.

What I mean is, they start off judging by direct interaction of the individual's character, not "difference in appearance"

I always think it's sad that I don't have any black friends... Then I remember I have friends who are black. Smh...

this is good; proves you are non-racist because in your mind you don't have a segregated category of "BLACK friends," to you they are simply "FRIENDS"

Kids generally don't care about race or gender when interacting with each other. It's adults who instill those prejudices in them.
DukeDarkwood
It's NEVER inherent. It's ALWAYS learned. Absolutely no one is born racist, or sexist, or any other flavor of bigotry; it is NOT a natural state.
