A pair of dimwitted criminals aim to join the notorious Axe Gang in this wuxia/musical/comedy/cartoon mashup.
Written and directed by Stephen Chow (SHAOLIN SOCCER), it’s impossible to cleanly categorize this film. There are dance numbers, breathtaking martial arts sequences, top-tier physical and visual comedy, and chases right out of a Roadrunner short. It’s a cinematic gumbo of styles and influences, and it’s a joy to watch.

Oh my god, the "Midnight Assassins" music, and scene is burnt into my very soul! When tackling a chores in a depressive mood, gives me strength like im one of the 3 battling an impossible task....know it ends bad, but it's amazing how art can give us such strength.

It's an awsome movie. I did not like it the first time i saw it, cause i saw shaolin soccer just before, and in my young mind i had a probleme with the fact that the main character was not a "good" person. I know, i know it's stupid. But at the time i was very binary (i blame disney).

Same! I'm not really a movie watcher, most big ones are lazily written and spell out plots with crayon way before they act it, nothing is meant to intrigue, just serve pre-chewed tropes. Now THIS movie... I reluctantly joined a friends movie night, and I was actually blown away. Couldn't predict a single scene, and every new one was a goddamn treat. Slapstick, horror, action, musical, jumping wildly from one to another. Characters with development arches and complexity?! Seriously? Love it.
