As any true Star Wars fan , I had this iconic Star Wars poster on my bedroom door.

Gonna date myself here but all the OSHA ones remind me of this old SA page: https://www.somethingawful.com/news/nardo-design-empire/

Umm. Star wars is from the 70's. Flamingos are way older than that.

Sith have flamingo eyes.

For the ten years I was the OHS officer, I had this on the door of my office.

#32 One of the really great things in the old Expanded Universe was it being pretty much an open secret that EVERYONE knew Anakin and Padme were together, but pretended not to. Itmakes Anakin's spiral to the dark side felt EVEN MORE tragic and avoidable knowing that he had others that he COULD have gone to for help, but didn't.

Also true based on current canon https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=7dfE4ChcKuw

#10 But what about the droid attack on the wookiees?

1 month ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

You can really tell how old #4 is

Great post @OP!

#38 Bluey is doing it too. I was at a friends house a few weeks ago and had to say, "Did your 2-year old just call you 'Daddy' with a British accent?" Turns out it was actually an Australian accent.

#3 it's purposeful as a visual that shows the empire as an oppressive, uncaring regime... there was an interview with lucas where they asked him about it, iirc. But I can't find it now?

1 month ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

So what are the first two about?

#3 I complain about star wars because they dumped finn's story to appeal to racist chinese audiences

1 month ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

I complain because they threw in a no-homo love interest and sidelined Po.

#50 That Nemik quote is just so real right now. It shows that all the research they did into authoritarian regimes really paid off.

There are a handful of deleted Prequel scenes that were really good and would have elevated them. It's a shame, really.

#1 I mean, he literally named the hero of the story, Luke S.

#50 fuck. I refuse to advertise for Disney, but this would be a great answer for every time someone asks “why aren’t we talking about this guy getting shot by ICE?”

1 month ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I will continue to quote Andor endlessly

1 month ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yes. Ironic they would provide some of the best anti-fascist talking points.

#8 I love the Darth Binks theory. It's hilarious.

1 month ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

if you watch the clone wars series, it becomes leff of a theory, and more that they just decided not to complete it.

1 month ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

If you haven't been entertained by it before: https://www.reddit.com/r/StarWars/comments/3qvj6w/theory_jar_jar_binks_was_a_trained_force_user/

O. M. G. I’ve heard this theory but never seen it written so thoroughly. Jar jar fighting Yoda instead of Dooku would have been fire. Also, Jar Jar coming back in 7,8,& 9 would have been awesome. But somehow, Palpatine returned.

I like to believe he wasn't trained but was more a passive chaotic force element. He was very force sensitive but had no training or ability to control it. Like a kid going through growth spurts with the force throwing him around to create chaos which tended to both light and dark side at random times. A catalyst of change.

Darth Darth Binks was the Joker of the Force World

1 month ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

i mean galen erso sabatoged the thing on purpose, it's not a stretch to think there were more people there making it a fkn nightmare to work on, like how all the floors are basically a skating rink...

1 month ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

I distinctly remember Luke cutting through a railing when cutting Vader's hand off.

1 month ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Look, the grippy floors would have cost 20% more. Do you know how much floor there is on a Star Destroyer, let alone Death Star!?

1 month ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

*boop* "bet you would like 20% of me catching you!"...

Also the actual weakness required a very specific trick to be wielded by an extinct group of space wizards to be feasible. You can say what you want about womp rats but that was a 90 degree turn on an semi-unguided projectile into a hole about the size of a person. Even if they werent in the middle of combat flying at hundreds of miles per hour thats a million to one shot.

1 month ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

I'd say the shot was 50/50, either it hits or not.

1 month ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I recall seeing a fan guess that Galen only really had enough control over the project to ensure the chain reaction would take out the entire station, and left enough information in his files for the rebels to plan with that in mind. If the Death Star wasn't on the other side of a gas giant right there and then, plan a probably would've been to sneak a bomb on board, especially since Luke and co had already demonstrated you can sneak into the death star by sheer accident.

1 month ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

But million to one chances crop up nine times out of ten.

1 month ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

it's when it's a smaller huge number you get problems. You'd never make a 897,412 to one shot, but a million to one shot? THAT can happen.

1 month ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

This is a problem in a lot of sci fi and fantasy though, like they may be incredible builders known throughout the universe for the quality and magnificence of their works. ...they never invented hand rails though.

1 month ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

or how there isn't just a big red "emergency stop" button inside every airlock? I guess part of achieving space travel includes genociding osha...

1 month ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

In space no one can hear you quote OSHA code....
