Toxic Tolerance is How We End Up with Idiots

Policies of tolerance were supposed to be about letting people live their lives in peace. Immigrant neighbors? They're just different, and make tasty food! So-and-so is gay? Wow, not that there's anything wrong with that! You don't like gay sex? Maybe stop bending over in the showers at the YMCA. Unfortunately, somewhere along the way it got hijacked into letting these ignorant pig fuckers like Trump and Poilievre run wild across north america, manipulating the stupid and uninformed into cheering for their own downfall. Tolerating these people is like tolerating a case of crabs, the itching won't go away if you ignore it. These guys aren’t here to solve problems, they are the problems, and they’re here to make sure politics never do anything to meaningfully benefit you again.

Addressing actual issues? The shit that actually matters? The economy being gamed by the ultra-rich, housing markets turned into a monopoly board for foreign banks, healthcare being gutted, infrastructure rotting? Nah, that’s too complicated, lets spew out the same tired, pandering garbage about how "real" Canadians or Americans (read: people gullible enough to buy their bullshit) are being threatened by whatever convenient scapegoat they can throw in front of the outrage machine this week. Immigrants are coming for your jobs. Trannies are beating women in sports. Fentanyl is on the streets. Babies are being murdered. OH NO. Except the moment you look into any of these topics, it's clear that NO-ONE actually gives a fuck about women's sports or the homeless, the drug crisis can be traced to Ronald Reagan (Republican) shutting down the mental institutions in the 80s, and the moment a women squats down and shits out the next generation of wage-slave the same person that screamed "abortion is murder" is suddenly unwilling make eye contact with that welfare baby's empty milk bottle. And the migrants... Really? You think some white motherfucker is gonna be out there picking heads of lettuce in the heat of summer for less than minimum wage?

The worst part is that it continues to fucking work time and again, because the underlying systems are not changed. Educated people ask questions, while the ignorant accept what is told to them as fact. When you have a large enough block of ignorant morons to use as a voting base, rather than demand solutions, the ignorant masses instead just want their biases echoed back at them in a way that makes them feel smart, righteous, and persecuted all at once. Fostering critical thinking requires a functional and robust education system... and the people in charge benefit from ignorant peons, so it's no wonder they repeatedly cut budgets, kneecap, and point fingers at the 'leftist education system'. And so the cycle continues.

They weaponize stupidity as an electoral strategy—because it works. Keep the people angry, keep them stupid, and most importantly keep them looking anywhere but at the actual levers of power being pulled behind the curtain, and they'll keep voting you in time and again.

"Oh, the economy is still rough because the left didn't magically clean all the shit off the walls smeared up there by the last fucker the right voted into power? Clearly they're not doing enough! Elect me, I'm right-wing man. Clearly this bad economy is the fault of the...uh...colored! That'll work! You uneducated fuckers hate anything that's different so you'll vote me in for "sayin it lyke it iz", oh wait my mic's still on... haha, who cares! you'd still vote for me even if I stole your grandma's social security money. Grab em by the pussy!" Then they fuck the economy into the ground until even the woefully ignorant see that eggs cost too much, you elect someone else for a bit, things slowly start to recover, and then rinse and repeat every 8 fucking years or so.

How did we let it get to this? Well, at some point, "tolerance" stopped meaning "coexisting with differences" and started meaning "let’s humor the dangerously ignorant like they have a point, and not punish them when they commit actual crimes."

Remember when we kicked people out of office for drinking and driving, spying on reporters, or behaving unconscionable for their role by getting a bj from their secretaries? Apparantly the bar has fallen far since then, and because of that the left has had to play an indefinite game of catch-up trying to do better than an imagined 'golden era' while working around whatever retarded policies the right uncharitably installed, meanwhile the right's whole game is making sure the real problems never get solved because their entire brand depends on having an endless supply of new boogeymen and bullshit to blame. Every time we let this nonsense slide, we get more of the same—more grifters, more incompetence, more people who shouldn’t be trusted with a pair of scissors, let alone public office.

Here’s the sad fact of the matter— democracy demands competence. If someone thinks 5G vaccines from inside the flat earth are going to make their blood gay, maybe their opinion doesn't fucking matter. The short-bus doesn’t let the passengers decide who's driving next, so why the fuck would we run our critical institutions that way. The people in charge of public health should be highly accredited medical experts who are well received by their peers, not someone selected by the winner of a glorified popularity contest. What a foreign concept, having experts be the voice of authority in the fields they are experts in? Perish the fucking thought. Yet here we are, strapping these chucklefucks into the driver's seat while they scream about imaginary enemies and steer our futures into their friends pocket-books, all because downsy uncle Dana told all his friends that "the libruls support big pharma and say you're stoopid".

Want a better future? Stop tolerating the willfully ignorant. If you see someone saying something that's fucking retarded, call it like it is. Take away the drunk friends keys, and don't give them back until they sober up. And don't worry, making it up to a few retards with hurt feelings is still a fuck of a lot cheaper than paying for their special needs out of pocket would be.
