You could put Raining Blood to a video of an elderly woman cutting her roses on a sunny morning at the beginning of spring and it would be metal as fuck ! (fun fact: Tori Amos actually covered it, and its quite twisted)
Listen... Metal is metal, but this doesn't make the scene better, it doesn't connect to the scene at all the beat doesn't hit with whats happening on screen, there is no rise in tempo to match the drama.
What irks me about that video is that he's driving the Munster Koach. The DRAG-U-LA racer is a completely different vehucle made to win the Koach back in, as one might expect, a drag race.
Slayer - Reign in Blood. Close, they were contemporaries in the early American thrash metal scene, tho Metallica very much shifted genres going into the 90s.
Edward Norton in fight club fighting himself in his bosses office, which i believe won a "best fight scene award." Tbh a lot of the fight scenes in that movie probably don't synch up well with free bird, but thats the first that came to mind
Swamp of Sadness? Bing-bong scene from Inside Out ....ππ²π·π° ππΈπ·π°..... butter scene from Last Tango in Paris...actually, now you mention it....
Friends of mine got the idea that we should watch original Sailor Moon and combine it with different songs. The introduction of Mini Moon synced up perfectly with "Straight Outta Compton", and the fight against the evil queen went perfectly with Metallica's "King Nothing".
Still think Dr Strange could of finished this fight in seconds, he can portals so could of just chopped Thanos's hand off or his head. And don't get me started with what he did with Peter. Strange is reckless, stupid and dangerous.
I agree. Dr Strange is a reality-bending level 10 character. I think narratively, the only reason he didn't lob off Thanos head was because he didn't want to kill him. But he could have taken the arm.
Eh... I mean, gotta love Free Bird, but you can definitely feel the cuts in editing that had to be done to try and force the footage to sync with the music, and it throws off the pacing and timing of the shots. A fun twist that's great for a gif? Absolutely, and I'm totally stealing this. But a genuine improvement? I don't quite think so.
It's one of the best fight scenes in film. Everything works beautifully, from the cinematography, the choreography, the effects and gratuitous violence, the fact it's in the Westboro Baptist Church so you don't feel bad about everyone getting slaughtered, etc.
The part where the guy briefly loses his hearing from the explosion, starts to come to his senses as the music fades, and then goes immediately back to killing as soon as it returns is a flawlessly implemented storytelling moment.
Also, the fact that it's Colin Firth - who was largely known for roles in things like Love Actually or Austen adaptations - racking up an AMAZING body count was brilliant casting
