I never understood this level if high tech to be put on toilets. Not saying it's bad thing, just wondering what lead to arms race of developing technological marvels into toilet seats. Here it seems we designed "good enough" toilet in like 60's and that's what exists. Some minor detail vary based on aesthetic reasons, but that's it.
When I sit on pre-heated seat at home, that just feels uncomfortable (possibly because the association is that someone elses butt warmed it) And manual hand-held bidet is common here. And very.. unhelpful since the pressure tends to be "water saving" levels of uselessness. So maybe that would wow me, if the water could actually convince me it's done the job :P
Yeah, that seems incredibly wasteful. Meanwhile I'm following the "if it's yellow let it mellow" rule to save water. You can either be a neat freak with a hypersensitive nose or do your part for the environment, and the latter is more compatible with my laziness.
It looks like they are using less water per flush than standard western toilet. The fact that water is completely gone could mean they are using suction(pump) and not relying only on water weight to push stuff through. So the whole cycle could use same amount of water as yours or mine toilet.
My toilet doesn't use cleaning chemicals every flush. It could be a hundred times the amount of water per use and it would still be cheaper and more ecofriendly than this dumbassery.
Fucking pisses me off. Pun intended. The fact that even professional, well educated men will piss all over the office toilet seat, floor and fittings, and assume someone else will clean it up, absolutely disgusts me. I will 100% of the time leave a WC cleaner than when I enter the cubicle. Which isn’t hard because most guys are fucking animals when they think no-one is watching...
You want to know the why so many guys will leave so much piss on the floor while using toilet standing or at urinal? Because we think we are longer down there than we actually are at this specific moment, even if you think your peepee is not long enough at any other time. So they don't have to stand that close. This next thing is my explanation, but it makes sense sort of, they are "afraid" they might touch the urinal porcelain if they stand to close, like a Witches kiss type of thing.
on a trip to Germany I stumbled into their equivalent of B&Q. My biggest takeaway was seeing a full wall of stickers for parents to put on loo seats, with cartoon characters and slogans asking boys to sit down when peeing - they told me it was to promote equality, but I guess it keeps the floor a little cleaner too.
Had a German girlfriend at the time, it still makes me grin thinking of her PURE HORROR when she walked into the bathroom and saw me standing to pee. I locked the door after that......

All of that fancy shit, and it still looks that uncomfortable.

But the overspray next to the bowl? They say they don't.. but it's always there

Too hygienic. Take the chances and see if you wash your hands right to avoid HFM disease ;)

Looks neat but I wonder how much it uses water.

Yay! More detergent washing out into nature! Please include some microplastics too!

It only cleans the part of the bowl I'm not touching.

It does that every flush? That seems like something that could mess up the bacteria used to process the flushed stuff at the poopsicle plant
Sulexar
Germophobes aren't capable of that kind or logic or forethought.

they have an aging population so self-cleaning feature is probably very popular
tratratralala
Everybody says that until they experience the heated seat, combined with the bidet and the dryer :)

It cleans the bowl after every single flush? Bit germ-phobic, eh?

Useful for public toilets at least... A lot of "splatter" with those...
