This whole monologue was epic. One of his best.

Wasn't that from Firefly (Jaynestown)?

Dr. Oz said on Don Jr’s podcast that President Trump told him Diet Coke kills cancer cells because it kills grass and that Fanta is healthy because it’s “fresh squeezed” and this guy is in charge of the world’s economy!

try for a lawsuit for his using your likeness without permission. get the right judge and you're gold.

The correct judge? In this christofascist cuntocracy?

there are still good judges out there. they haven't all be replaced by picks from the Federalist Society.

I would vote Jon Stewart for President so fast.

No. No more entertainers for president. We’ve done it at least twice now. Fuck that shit.

NO MORE CELEBRITIES!!!

If they are supremely qualified why would you care?

Some celebrities have skills beyond just entertainment and they have a right to utilize them how they wish.

Besides, some celebrities may actually be more resistant to being bribed with campaign contributions than others. I can't see Stewart giving up his stances he had had for decades just because a company tries to give him some money. It's clearly not how he operates.

Im still trying to decide how I feel about celebrities in politics. It’s terrible because of the conflicts of interest, but good because of the detailed visibility into some of their histories…

I think when people mention Jon Stewart specifically they are thinking about his years of fighting for 9/11 first responders and things like that, not his comedy career

So tired of hearing this argument tho, it gets said every single time someone makes that comment

...who gives a f**k if they are celebrities so long as they are qualified??

He's qualified. Everyone knows it.

He's smart enough, cares enough, and probably knows more about politics than anyone out there.

But sadly it doesn't matter because he clearly doesn't want the job.

You might end up with a president that can play the piano with his dick.

Maybe that would improve relations in the Middle East

the detailed visibility into the traitor in chief's history didn't stop him getting elected so I'm not sure that's in the pro column

Yeah, you’re right about that. I wonder if it’s because we hadn’t learned to use the history properly yet. I feel like celebrities in politics is still so new, but I bet it’s just history repeating

Sadly like most who might do the job well he has not interest in a political career.

And while I do like the guy it's still someone in their 60s

4 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

They would kill him almost immediately as he's a logical threat to all they have worked for. You can't have people looking out for the majority.

4 months ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

And he’s smart enough to know that.

There is no need to kill him. The system is set up in such a way that any single man or even a group of them together can't upset the beast for long. For the POTUS you counter with congress and the courts and the same in reverse.

The system is designed to not change quickly, the growing issue is that the modern world changes very quickly and our current system is unequal to the task even if it wasn't captured by special interests to handicap it.
