Gary Payton is a good dude so it makes sense.
BigBuckeyeZ
Good man! Not that people with those seats are probably hurting for $ but much respect for being a professional class act
FelonyFerret
Nice to see someone taking responsibility for their mistake, especially a famous person.
OverpricedCrayon
Is that a bicycle?
Echo18
A stationary bike that players use to warm up when they're not in the game or for treatment when they have minor injuries.
measterl
Somebody was raised right, good on ya

The amount of adoration we have for basic kind things is somewhat sad, it shouldn’t be a rare occurrence. Wholesome nonetheless

And she gets a team towel and a story to tell? Dang that's cool.

Weird that Americans put medals of heroism on people doing what's "Basic common decency" to the rest of us in normal unfucked countries.
CSlice06
He did this during the 4th quarter of a close game at a road game, so it’s beyond the acceptable “my bad” and move on.
Also in other normal non-fucked countries, fans use racist chants, throw things at players, and fight and even kill each other in the stands
That doesn't sound like any normal country I know of, but maybe that's normal by American standards.

Warriors are a class organization. This is symbolic of their culture.
LaffertyDanie1
Have met Steph multiple times and can confirm
WTBenji08
It’s symbolic of a decent human being. I sincerely hope that the organisation doesn’t have to teach this to their players
unfamiliarHorse
decent behavior has to be taught in general. sad but true
springelmogizmo
it's better with sound:
CecilyBumTrinket
Thank.you for this. The post w/o sound is useless.

Mic'd out....
MaxxHadron
But his Dad wouldn't have given a frack (speaking as a long time Sonics fan). Gary Senior was just so more intense...but raised a great kid.
NotaCPA
always raise children to be better than yourself. It's hard to do because it means tell them you're not perfect even if you're successful.
InkyBlinkyPinkyAndClyde
Or his wife did most of the raising.

Use cupholders and don't put it in places where your drink could be knocked off

This! I tripped over a beer once on the ground in a very very narrow aisle. I didn’t even see it.
mcbotulism
It's like those idiots in the front row of a hockey game who put their $16 arena beer on that ledge of the boards at the base of the glass.

So many pro players could learn from this.
jaguirre104
First of all most fans are fucking assholes. And degrade and berate players so no. He doesn't have to shit for them.

So many PEOPLE could learn from this

Saw one of the Plumlee brothers knock a lady down with a whole tray of drinks and he looked mad at her and just walked away
Pretty much what I expect from people who go to Duke but come on
daromander
Most pro players are nice to fans, at least at the stadium
gamblingpoet
There was an incident a few weeks ago where a courtside drunk fan puked all over the floor. The reaction shots of players were hilarious.
oilgod
I'd be so humble and grateful towards fans if I had their talent. And work ethic. And etc. Pay to watch us sport? How can I help?
VaultGirl69
It's more that people are interested in watching people when they're assholes. Kindness is always overlooked.
HedonistBeard
There's something interesting though in that the clips upvoted to the front page are so often of people being good. Perhaps we are changing.
I’m always reminding people that good news doesn’t sell papers. Except now it’s “good news doesn’t get clicks”. Side question: which vault?
ZircZZ
Not always, but sadly it often is.
johnnyshitknucklez
Definitely like I don’t see any posts where players help people
Gary Payton's son? The Gary Payton? Fuck I'm old

Aye, and the kid is good too. He has an insane vertical

That's his son?? Oh, ok now that makes sense"

He named two of his sons Gary Payton Jr. and Gary Payton II. They have different moms.
