Make it real. I am a fight coach (Muay Thai) and yell things like this across the mats at my friends, teammates, friends on the regular. These guys nailed the concentration and comedy of affirmations. There are those of us pushing back. Look for the helpers. Any advice, let us know to share some

That's the way to do it, be it and spread it. We're building our own culture.

This is really refreshing. Unrealistic AF, but VERY refreshing

Unrealistic how so? I'm a coach for combat sports, I yell similar affirmations to my friends and teammates very regularly. Be the change

Because sadly, where I'm from (Latin America), men still treat women as property or as toys, and if a woman dares say no, or try to do something for her safety, they're killed.

Nah I'll judge a high body count, it shows whether they prioritize emotional connection or just physical pleasure, and it's not a double standard because I'll judge a man's high body count too I don't give a fuck.

Could people be judged by how high their emotional attachment count is? It sounds like some people had a whole relationship and breakup and grieving over someone that only knew their first name to write (misspelled) on the frappe

Ok.

There's nothing wrong with a high body count as long as you've achieved those numbers ethically
You can have both times where you had sex just for the physical pleasure and times where you actually emotionally connected with someone, just as long as you're clear with your intentions.

I absolutely believe there's something wrong with a high body count because I believe sex purely for pleasure with someone you don't care about emotionally is mentally unhealthy for a person as a human being.

I think normalizing that kind of emotional disconnect and objectifying a person is just as inhuman as normalizing violence and objectification along those lines.

I think it reduces a person's ability to emotionally bond.

Tell us you're religious without telling us you're religious.

Actually I'm atheist. I'm looking at it from an evolutionary psychology point of view.

Most human civilizations throughout history have centered around pair bonding, and whether it was religion, social pressure, legal frameworks, economics, or politics, most enshrined that bonding as the only acceptable time to express sexual affection. I don't think that's an accident of history but a function of psychology.

I think humans are wired to associate sex and love, and fighting that's unhealthy.

Relax. Sometimes sex is just sex. Fun, pleasure, light bonding and connection. You're going to hurt a lot of people with your basic dichotomy world view.

Why do you assume a high body count means someone isn't connecting emotionally? I have a high body count but I definitely didn't sleep with people I didn't care about.

What do you think is high when it comes to body count?

For reference, worldwide lifetime average body count is 6 for men 3 for women, in the US it's double that, 12 for men and 6 for women.

I think it comes down to time. I dont believe you can emotionally connect to the degree I think is necessary for sex in a few days, or even a few weeks. I think a real emotional connection takes months. It takes a relationship, not just getting along or having chemistry.

My count is far higher than that. We disagree on how long it takes to establish that connection. Which is fine, but judging other people's past behavior on your personal metric isn't very fair. In other words, it may take YOU months to establish a connection worthy of sex, but that's not necessarily true of others.

So if a person is poly and did spend months getting to know multiple people and fucked them all, consensually and with the knowledge of all partners, you’d have no issue with that?
