AFistfulOfDollHairs
If it’s really infinite how are you holding it
MyNameIsJesusAndIStealHubcapsFromCars
chain do not that supposed to
Eldyaitch
Why is this one slightly off-center too?!
Chainbreakerwelding
Honestly, to disguise the fact that it's not quite perfect.
mikesimjr7911
Me likie!
SolarisLunarum

LeeLooDaIIasMultipass
Was there math involved in this or some kind of trial and error?
innagaddavidababy
Isn’t that just a regular cube? Are all cubes infinity now?
Chainbreakerwelding
Its just a cube made out of bike chain in a funky way. Infinity cube is just a name I herd someone call it
jackhAKAdicktracy
Cause if it works
INeedAnUserNameButNoneIsFree
At first I didn't notice how it was made... now I want one. D:
OneShotKill
I can easily tell what's happening but my brain still hurts when looking at this
GingerLaird
I like how you did this, and you did it all with a single chain.
Valtrith
What kind of bike does that even work with?
strideo
You need a Lament Configuration derailleur.
Valtrith
Dammit I knew I shouldn't have thrown mine out...

Oh whoa neato

Silicon Graphics Incorporated.
lolwutface
Probably doesn't have as cool a jingle as Doofenshmirtz Evil Incorporated.
Clockworkdancerobot
I dunno, the Indy had a jazzy power on/off sound. https://youtu.be/CH9saUP2460

I need to go see if I can get my Octane II to turn on.

I miss my 10k purple Indigo2
WiltedPenguin
I actually worked on that product! You may be the only person who bought one.
snowtree
I paid $5 for it at a computer store that was going out of business, so that must have been someone else. What work did you do on it?
WiltedPenguin
Nice. I was on the team building the graphics engine for it. Unfortunately for SGI, PC graphics cards overtook them shortly after.
snowtree
So you were a hardware guy?
Trickymex
Coolcatkarl
As a certified welding inspector, I agree.

Came in a little hot....

NEVER BREAK THE CHAIN

Perfectionist, much?

There are dozens of us!

Probably a welder
Chainbreakerwelding
It bothers me too. I'll probably go in and fix the ugly and porous. Cleaning bike chain is tough
punknoodles0
I've used motorcycle chain alot and the best thing I've found is to burn out all the seals with an oxy/fuel torch then soak in solvent.
pilotperson
“The Ugly and the Porous”...sounds like a Western.
bullshit
Out of curiosity, why not just braze a little where it won't be seen instead of ending up with melted inner links at all?
WalkingHistory
I’m a welder student and I’m glad I found you by random chance on here
Trickymex
Its still excellent, don’t let me put a downer on a great thing
WarTortilla
Have you tried turning it off and back on again?
DocWino
Acid
Chainbreakerwelding
Acid doesnt dissolve grease
DocWino
Trich.
DocWino
Diesel, kerosene, any light oil
Frozenspokes
Purple degreaser at Walmart and a wire brush will clean it right up. Just wear rubber gloves and safety glasses.
Chainbreakerwelding
It'll clean the outside. Getting 100% of the grease out from every nook and cranny is the real challenge.
Frozenspokes
You will never get it all out without something like an ultrasonic parts cleaner. Those cost real money.
2birdsstonedat1ce
People don't seem to realize certain cleaners leave behind (when welded on) toxic residue
Chainbreakerwelding
Simplegreen(what I use) is safe to clean pre-weld. but yes there are some very toxic things that react to welding heat/light. Toilet cleaner
2birdsstonedat1ce
Brake cleaner is one
