Someone took my cat and basically tortured him. He's been shot in the head 3 times (with obvious intent to kill) with a pellet gun and his leg is injured. He was missing the whole day and the vet said based on his eye that he was like that for hours. So, they kept him like this and waited until after dark to release him. As you can see, this cat is a ball of sleepy loves and in no way deserved this. Jude is still alive and obviously in the vet hospital. He's not eating and will never see out of that eye again.

In case you don't know, unless you know who does it, nobody will be able to do anything. Not animal control, not the police. It's a potential felony to do this to animals where I live and it's going to probably cost us thousands of dollars. He may not survive. I live in a really good neighborhood and I'm disgusted that someone did this.

TLDR: Jude didn't deserve to be shot/tortured. We will find you.

JUDE UPDATE: He's stable but still won't eat, and now has a fever. He's got a neurological problem and can't use one of his front paws (not sure to what extent), it's not a separate injury. We are going to go talk to the vet tomorrow at 1, look at the x rays and decide what to do from there. He might get to come home but they may want him to stay another night.

They said if he wants to go somewhere he can, but he can't really put weight on his paw. If it's turned over, he can't turn it back on his own.

As if the pain and fear wasn't enough. He's fighting though. My strong boy.

UPDATE: They have been focusing on stabilizing him so far, getting his blood pressure and respiration to normal levels, and keeping him on antibiotics. He's been resting a lot and they have him on an IV. The Dr is not the one that called, when I asked about what the plan is moving forward she said she needed to speak with the Dr and will call back at about 7 to discuss that.

Edit: In response to people asking about helping for the vet bill, Jude is currently still in care at an animal hospital, and we have not yet received a bill. We will update when we know more about how things are going to proceed with him, the vet is supposed to call and give us an update Sunday afternoon.
