i had a lab/dane/hound looking dog (mostly lab) in Highschool... that dog loved Ball more than any dog i've ever had/met since. He always had a ball, would keep giving you a ball to throw until you stopped, over heat exuastion, injury, just PLAY BALL. He would have either died or that motor on that toy would have broke. He was really good, I could throw it right at him fast, or up in the air as high as i could ( i played baseball), he'd catch it like it was nothing.
Got a pitbull/jack Russell terrier mix. Extremely smart, not always a good thing, especially when they start figuring out doors or visibly arguing with you over treats. Smart can lead to smart ass, though I wouldn't want it any other way.
I think when playing catch, dogs often chew on the thing to “make sure it’s dead.” That’s why they often don’t let go right away and shake their head around while biting it
I have bought several different kinds of balls and frisbees etc. Both my dogs look at me like im an idiot when I throw them. They do not have the fetch gene 😂
My dog has started doing a new thing. I throw the ball to him in the backyard and have a seat. He will bring the ball back to me but not let go, then wander off and hide it, expecting me to go find it. I think he's telling me my fat ass needs to walk more.

afmgreentea
So many Wishbones!
terajack2048
I mean one ball fun, two balls twice the fun
usernametakenisthestoryofmylife
Lil' buggars are smart.

Billy2sweet
Lucky that the white and brown one keeps getting the ball. They know how to load the machine.
Gigas85
What's the story Wishbone?
olijfboom
No human could ever accept to throw the ball at this stage of moisture.
Martellus
I appreciate that there’s no music added to this. Just the sound of the dogs playing alone is already music to my ears.

Why is not streaming live 24/7 ?

"HOLY SHIT...BALL!" Two seconds later... "HOLY SHIT...BALL!"
JackieTreehornProductions
I want to see it when there's 5 of those things working at once - MAYHEM!!!!
Snooj
I love how hard it is for them to let go each time.
Avrgjoe80
My aunt has one of those and her dog goes freaking nuts over it... it's hilarious..

nomadengineer
Well, until the battery runs out at least.
echonite
Getting those last few chomps in before dropping it in. Nice.
vladrichdemaclant
Did i .. did i see a cheater on the left side?!
gobblinal
You mean the one that went into the dog bed and got his own ball to play with?
vladrichdemaclant
That's the one.
theresaschu713
Omg I want them all 😍😍😍😍
RibbleTPibits
Love how long it takes for them to drop it.
DameDePiques
And the others barking "come on! let go already!"
AeonexAshaxei
The few chomp squeezes it makes on the ball before putting the ball into the pitching machine is peak JRT.
Lampmonster
Number the dogs, new national sport.
RetrogradeLlama
Awesome.
forestfart
Also great for potty training
NudistGhost
An entire kennels worth of Jack Russels?! Guaranteed there isnt a minute of peace ever.
rulerofthedingdongs
Land Piranhas.
YesThisIsTero
Can confirm, and we only have one. She’s lovely and affectionate.
ATinyWaffle
Whenever I see this breed, all I can think of is: "What's the story, Wishbone!"
thtsbs
Jack Russels need this level of engagement or they become terrors. A ball machine is brilliant
a1b3117
They're terrors. This just keeos the symptoms at bay
ActionJohnnie
I have a mixed breed but JR is her dominant. Ball of energy, smart and loves to dig. She’s a very good girl.
bambinod
card reads "how to keep an idiot busy (turn over)"
FarmerTed
If this thing didn't have an auto shutoff after a length of time my dog would use it till he died. He has an unhealthy obsession with fetch
zebulorg
Would you recommend whatever version/brand you have? Looking at them for my 65lb dog
FarmerTed
I dont own one, just saying if it would need one for my dog
zebulorg
Thanks anyways!
circuspandabear
Knows the ball will be thrown and still has trouble letting it go.

My dog does this all the time. Puts it in my hand then just holds onto it for dear life. It's his way of saying he's done though at least.
jqubed
Well that one HAS the ball right now, but once the machine throws it one of the OTHER dogs might get it

Gotta get a few bouncy chews in while he can!

Sometimes, it’s hard to say goodbye.

Our granddog would bring the ball back once, and only once. You throw it a second time, he'd look at you like you're an idiot.
thedill2000
Once in maybe 50 times can I get the newfie to just stand up for the ball.
Bojovnik84
Both of my dogs are like this with any toy. Like how dare you make me play fetch!
SeasonedCitizen
Rowdy was a working breed, but he was on his Union mandated break.
snarkybitch

puffpuffmcgruff
My dog will only chase one ball. I'll throw other balls, he picks them up and drops immediately. He then goes wandering for that specific ball.
PineappleLoopsBroether
“You do know that *you’re* getting that, right?”

He's trying to teach you to fetch.
