Can somebody tell me what this is?

My step son with autism would absolutely love this. I seen it in a dump on here but nobody knew. Thanks in advance! I appreciate it!

For those that have a newer phone. The app store has an app called free ball. Does the same thing. Fun and soothing.

You'll need to build it yourself and it looks complicated https://github.com/adafruit/Adafruit_PixelDust

Yeah...But what is it?

@op if you have a 3d printer, or an etch-a-Sketch and a screen with perfect luck, and know how to program an Arduino, you make this yourself

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

IF you really want, you can get an old tablet, and make a program to do this. It's pretty cheap and easy. Probably there's an app for it

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

@op do you have an old iPad or tablet? I can start making an app today, that does this. I can publish for Android a lot faster than iOS

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Especially since I've only messed around once with iOS programming, and was using a friend's test account. I'd have to pay for publishing

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Thats awesome! Id realky appreciate that! He has an android tablet he uses right now

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I'll attempt to make it. Been a year since I published anything to Android. Got anything you'd want in specific?

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Similar app for Android. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=smellymoo.sand

Not quite the same but ill try him on it. The way that one lit up would make him so happy. Ty

You'd prefer it to follow a pixel grid, and just follow gravity? Not fancy combinations of different sand?
