Well done.

I mean bountygate was a thing I really don't feel bad over a Saints loss over that. There were like 3 facemasks by the Saints not called 2.

As someone from St. Louis and is bitter about the Rams success now, I’m so happy to see this gif. Saints were robbed

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

This was fast. Nice.

7 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

As a rams fan, this really pissed me off. NFL is so crooked these days. It's only about money and what teams will generate the highest

7 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

Revenues via televison, betting and attendance. It's disgusting.

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Beat one I've seen so far

7 years ago | Likes 27 Dislikes 1

You’re the beat.

Bucs game...ya ..

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I can't quite recognize the trunks. I know the ref is Kurt Angle, are the other two Edge and Triple H?

7 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 0

Edge and The Rock

7 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 0

Username confirmed.

7 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

The Saints paid their players to injure people back in 2009. This is called karma.

7 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 7

Thank you! Bountygate anyone?!?

Did the ball go?

Yeah it did!

I feel terrible for Saints fans

Should be Chiefs vs Saints Superbowl!

7 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Ha ha ha...Fuck the Saints!

7 years ago | Likes 28 Dislikes 36

Yes, let's cheer on bad officiating just because you dislike a team.

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I'm cheering the Saints misfortune. F 'em.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

v

7 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

I upvoted you. I'd feel the same way. It runs deep with Saints and Falcons fans.

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I hate the saints, but the refs fucked up.

7 years ago | Likes 22 Dislikes 4

Damn straight they did! F Dem Saints.

7 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 13

I hope stuff like this will finally wake people up to the fact that sports are rigged.

7 years ago | Likes 28 Dislikes 13

It was human error, I don't think it was rigged. Late in the game the refs always lean toward no-call. In this case they got it wrong but 1/

7 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 4

That doesn't mean it was rigged. If it were actually rigged, why didn't they give other calls to the Rams? Zerlein still had to hit some 2/

7 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Huge kicks. You can't rig field goals. It sucks, I'm not arguing that. Just not a conspiracy 3/3

7 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Pass interference needs to be a reviewable penalty. Too many games are decided by it

7 years ago | Likes 170 Dislikes 1

Also should be like a 15 yard penalty

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

If that helps? The last FIFA worldcup showed that VAR still turn a blind eye. The TMOs however seem to get their job done. 1/2

7 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

2/2 but that might be caused by less – not none – bribery or maybe the setup is different. Probably money…

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

that was more than pass interference, that was also helmet to helmet contact

7 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Yeah, but I've seen that kind of h2h not get called. The pass interference is completely blatant and unquestionable.

7 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Thats how the Saints made it to the SB in 09 after all

7 years ago | Likes 33 Dislikes 0

Ah yes the bounty aint’s, lovely team

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

RIP vikings only chance on a super bowl

7 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I also want to include the Saints bounty program for that game. Brett Favre was looking royally f'd up after that game.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I think*

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Lol; sorry Didn't

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Because they didn't? Shit I wanted them to win, but they didn't earn it. Saints got robbed.

7 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

That's what sucks. I was rooting for the Rams but now it feels shitty.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yeah, Still though, I sure as fuck will be rooting for them to win the bowl. Not a chance in hell I'm watching it... but fuck the Pats.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Or actually. I want the pats to win but get caught cheating yet again. Just so I can have another year of people admitting Bel is...

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

just a cheating prick who can't win legit... before the NFL sweeps that shit under the rug again.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Still not as bad as that roughing the passer call against the chiefs...

7 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 7

Still not as bad as Eric Berry piggy back riding Gronk the whole game and never getting flagged...

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I’d say it probably was worse than that, depending who threw the flag. If the ref was behind Brady, could’ve thought he hit his head.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Way to big of a play to throw a flag on something that uncertain/small

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

For fucks sake… Money had to have changed hands... v

7 years ago | Likes 368 Dislikes 5

I like how it says saints insider on the ad boards.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Whats worse is the Nickel-Roby has an INT gifted to him if he turns around. He thought he was beat, he says, but he absolutely wasn't.

7 years ago | Likes 44 Dislikes 1

What about the 3 missed face mask calls on the saints? Or the numerous delay of games that weren’t called?

7 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 9

Didn't change the course of the game as brutally.

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 3

A face mask on 3rd and goal creates the same 4 point swing

7 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 4

v

7 years ago | Likes 21 Dislikes 0

It's a REALLY bad non call. But for corruption accusations to come up everytime one of these occurs is tiring. Refs are humans. Humans fail.

7 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 5

WRONG: https://i.redd.it/f1nljwshrob21.png

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

How does that picture prove what I said wrong exactly?

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

I normally have that POV, but in this case I don’t. The ref is staring at it, and then he blows off the coach, and he isn’t phased at all

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Were the Saints out of replay challenges?

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Not a challengable play. Can't challenge penalties (or lack of them being called)

7 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Thanks. Not up on those rules...

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It’s not a reviewable call. It’s the dumbest thing in football.

7 years ago | Likes 21 Dislikes 0

Thanks

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Also inside of two minutes, so even if it was reviewable, it would need to have been done by the officials.

7 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

I have a strong feeling they might change that rule after this debacle....

7 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I don't watch football, aren't they supposed to to smash into each other?

7 years ago | Likes 41 Dislikes 11

Yup! But there has to be fair play. This is considered pass interference by the defender in white, but no foul was called by refs.

7 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

It's pass interference in this case. You can't just stop a pass by smashing the receiver prior to the ball. It has to be within arms reach

7 years ago | Likes 23 Dislikes 0

As in, you have to defend the receiver normally, then when the balls within catching reach, you can proceed to tackle the receiver

7 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

White runs into Black before receiving ball (illegal), and went not only directly for a hit but a helmet-to-helmet hit (illegal)

7 years ago | Likes 68 Dislikes 1

Which is weird since don't these kinds of plays supposed to carry a heavier penalty now?

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

It's certainly supposed to

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I am so ready to see what the XFL brings....

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Also the leading cause of brain injury.

7 years ago | Likes 25 Dislikes 0

They both look black to me

7 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Wait you can only tackle the guy with the ball? What is this hockey?

7 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

No like you can't just see a dude is trying to catch a ball and fucking head ram him. Either attempt to catch it yourself or take him after

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

You cannot interfere with the body of the receiver of the pass before it is caught. You can block or intercept the pass.

7 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Pretty clear who the NFL and the networks wanted to win...

7 years ago | Likes 42 Dislikes 3

Drew Brees didn’t get the ball first in overtime and turn it over oh wait a second. Had their second chance and blew it.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

No, it was just incredibly bad blown call. Take off the tin foil hat.

7 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 7

Goodell definitely did not want the Pats to win. They shoot a giant hole in the league promise of parity. He’s likely happy about Rams tho

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You mean a big market Boston vs LA final is financially better than KC vs NO? Or that LA needs marketing to help its horrible ticket sales?

7 years ago | Likes 23 Dislikes 4

Both.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

7 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

I think the NFL would have been delighted with Rams/Chiefs, to be fair. Young superstar sells a slot as well.

7 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 1

NFL wants big market teams in the SB... anything else they say is a lie...

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Any combo would've been great headlines. Brady vs Brees!? That would've been great too. This was a human error missed call, not a conspiracy

7 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

"Human error"? Bullshit. We shouldn't pretend that the refs are somehow blind or stupid enough to not be paying attention there. 1/2

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

This was a critical moment that assuredly would have changed the outcome of the game. All eyes where on those two players. They saw it. 2/2

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Pretty egregious error. Not good optics that both the refs involved in the play are CA natives, with one living less than an hour from LA.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

also not saying its a conspiracy, NFL can still prefer matchups due to markets even if they arent actually lifting a finger to make them

7 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

happen, just happy when they get them.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

v

7 years ago | Likes 597 Dislikes 3

Why are they wearing armour? Is this the disabled/ children version?

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 3

They wear it so the literally dont die on the field, read up on the history of football if you ever drop your edge.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Can't you just import rugby players? They're trained to survive the hits so you'd save money on armour.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

They arent trained to take hits like NFL players, there's a reason you dont hear about rugby players making it big in the NFL.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

True. It's a much softer/easier game. I't be massively embarrassing for a rugby player to be forced to wear armour. I couldn't do it.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

James Harden was fouled on that play...

7 years ago | Likes 106 Dislikes 1

Yeah it's not hard to see why he can get 50+ points a game when they are thrown at him for free.

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

Why not just let them tackle receivers off the scrimmage and save us the time?

7 years ago | Likes 32 Dislikes 0

The hit heard round the world

7 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

The crazy thing is if the Rams CB turned his head around he could've got his hands up, avoided the PI, and probably come down with an INT

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Which would've avoided the controversy altogether. I was rooting for the Rams, but you have to have a game ruined by the refs...

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

From the Rams’ DB post game: “Oh, hell yeah, that was P.I. I just know I got there before the ball got there, and I whacked his ass .”

7 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

He was expecting the P.I. too, was willing to take it to stop a sure TD on a blown coverage.

7 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Which would have been a mistake. If he gets a PI, the Saints can run the clock to 0:15 and kick a FG to take the lead. If they (1)

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

get a TD instead, the Rams get the ball back with ~1:40 and a timeout.

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

This angle makes it look worse than it was.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Announcer said if the Rams player had even looked for the ball it would have been a pick 6.

7 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

This is the first too comment I have ever seen with absolutely no downvotes.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

#birdboxchallenge

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Not a Saints fan, but hands down one of the most egregious non-calls in any sport that I've seen.

7 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 1

The only time in decades of watching sports i've legitimately been sickened by a call (or lack there of), dont even want to watch the SB

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

I didn't see anything remotely illegal.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

v

7 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

As a huge Saints fan, I was pissed, but not surprised. It's all about the money.

7 years ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 4

Yuuuuuupppppp

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

My family are hardcore Pats fans, and even they were screaming bullshit on this. They really wanted the Pats to play the Saints at the Bowl.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

As someone who knows little to nothing about the sport, is it a foul?

7 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Yes, if the receiver is prevented from getting the ball because a defender touched them BEFORE the ball arrives, it is pass interference.

7 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

ye, its called pass interference, cant touch the dude thats gonna catch a ball, only after he's caught it. and this is an obvy example of it

7 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

the issue is i have zero idea why this wasnt called out by refs

7 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I'm not even a Saints fan and I hope those refs never call another game. That was an entire season blown on that blunder.

7 years ago | Likes 302 Dislikes 4

Apparently one of the refs was a former ram

7 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 5

as a chiefs fan i should be Saints vs Chiefs superbowl. NFL wanted rams pats i guess

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yea Nate Burleson was like well there was more football than that one play... Um that ends it

7 years ago | Likes 33 Dislikes 1

Joe Buck would have complimented their accuracy of the call.

7 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

They didn't throw a flag on this play???

7 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

I’m an Angeleno and wanna call bullshit on the no call. Just ridiculous.

7 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 1

I told my wife someone should lose their job

7 years ago | Likes 104 Dislikes 4

Well, isn't it all the rage for some loonies to demand on social media for people to be fired and "dox" others for doing dumb shit?

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

NOTE: Don't fucking dox anyone. It's wrong, period.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

...Your... your wife is an NFL official???!!! :O

7 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

I'm a rams fan and the first thing I said was "well they just gave us that one "

7 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

that was the turn. I knew then it was over when that wasn't called.

7 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

Can you please explain to me what went wrong here? I have no clue of football... Is tackling not allowed?

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Tackling is allowed when you have the ball in your possession. But when a receiver is trying to catch a pass, the defender is not allowed(1)

7 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

to tackle him or otherwise hit him while he's trying to catch the pass. The defender is supposed to "play the ball" meaning he should be (2)

7 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

trying to either catch the ball himself or knock the ball away from the receiver's grasp. This should have been what is called pass (3)

7 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

America got fucked out of a Saints versus Patriots throw-down

7 years ago | Likes 43 Dislikes 4

No, America got fucked out of a Chiefs Saints throw-down. The money bought us Rams Patriots.

7 years ago | Likes 31 Dislikes 20

Roger that

7 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 9

I get it.

7 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Eh. Brady earned that victory.

Literally only saints and Pat's fans wanted that match up. America hates the Saints and Pats

I down for a Rams Patriots rematch superbowl.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Pats hate I get ...no love for Brees though? Especially over Goff?!?

7 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 1

ur mom gay

7 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Gonna have to disagree with you on that one bud, Brees deserves another ring and I would have loved to see it

7 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

After 2009 I will never have respect for that organization. I cherish the fact they have lost in back to back championship games.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

Fair enough, I have no dog in that fight or with Minnesota plus that was a decade ago.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Jesus, that can't be real.

7 years ago | Likes 101 Dislikes 1

Sadly it was ....

7 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

It is

7 years ago | Likes 38 Dislikes 0

As real as that ref staring at the hit in the background LOL

7 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 0

A few more angles just because I made the gif and want to get some mileage out of it

7 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

I mean, it pretty close to being within the first 5 yards, so I’m guessing that’s the rationale?

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Hmm, good point. I don't know NFL rules well enough. I know the head ref offered a sort of apology and admitted wrong to the Saints.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

My understanding is DBs can grab and shove receivers within 5 yards of the line of scrimmage. From what I’ve seen it was about 6 or 7 yards.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0
