EXACTLY! They were workers and pets and people loved them, until they didn't. Also kills me when people will talk about how pretty doves are and call pigeons trash birds. Rude, and pigeons are actually pretty cute.
If you look closely they have a stick in their jaws at the start of the video. It disappears right around the 5-6 second mark. The transition is seamless.
