What stick?

An attempt was made

Obligatory: Pigeons typically found in cities were derived from rock doves and their nests only need to prevent eggs from rolling away. A few twigs are perfectly sufficient for that in both their natural habitat and urban environments. Any more effort would be entirely wasteful. Also, don't hate on these animals: We bred them, used them for messaging and when we didn't need them anymore, abandoned them, which is the only reason why they are in our cities.

EXACTLY! They were workers and pets and people loved them, until they didn't. Also kills me when people will talk about how pretty doves are and call pigeons trash birds. Rude, and pigeons are actually pretty cute.

A hecking attempt to what? I don't see anything

If you look closely they have a stick in their jaws at the start of the video. It disappears right around the 5-6 second mark.
The transition is seamless.
