The past few months, I've been trying to combat my general feelings of SAD by going outside. Outside is not my natural habitat, so I've been coping with the change by using it as a chance to practice my photography

I am not a photographer

Just an enthusiastic noob. Hints and tips appreciated

This is Patrice. I met Patrice on a walk in the woods. Patrice is absolutely TINY, so I had to use much zoom to get an angle Patrice was satisfied with (the diva...)

Huginn, meanwhile, only demanded that I shoot from a distance and get his most favourite pose - over the shoulder. Easy to work with, stayed still for multiple shots. 8/10 (would've been higher, but I was promised his brother would show up, and there was no appearance from Muninn - disappointing)

Okay, this walk almost KILLED me. I am not fit in any sense of the word. The only shape I'm in is a circle. I have an ACL injury and an allergy to physical exertion. I did all those steps, up and down. Was proud of myself when the heart palpatations stopped.

Barbara! Barb and I bonded on a picnic bench, after I completed yet another insane walk that I had absolutely no business doing with my injury and general place in life. Barb told me all about her seven hatchlings, preparations for Christmas (very early, Barb!) and her career as a Christmas card model. I may have been slightly disoriented at the time from exhaustion and dehydration, but I'm sure Barb was only exaggerating slightly about her vendetta against sparrows.

If you take this sword, you shall be King of England. Honestly, I left it alone. Who wants that job?

Portal to another world. It was tempting, but I knew there was a two-for-one offer on pastries at the cafe just a bit down the road, so had to pass this time. Couldn't find it again when I went back...

This is Satan. I looked him in the eye and he looked back. It was unnatural. Continued staring for the entire twenty eight minutes I was in range.

Oh, err, maybe this is the one for the King job? Maybe leave them both, just to be on the safe side!

Cobra Chicken tax! I asked his name and he hissed at me, so I continued on my way, minding my own business. It was probably Kyle...
