I don’t think that’s what they’re intending to say, but the subtext of the whole “let’s call conservatives gay as an insult and see how they like it” thing is ceding ground to the idea that being gay is bad.
On top of that, this in particular reduces gayness to pure sexuality, like it’s a fetish while also erasing bisexuality.
You may as well start calling racist dudes the n-word if they eat fried chicken.
