Bookworm

Ah yes. My spare room (the one for the orphan) was my "dump" room. Stuff I didn't want to store, but stuff I didn't want to get rid of.

I just had a troll skull room. It's where I kept my troll skulls.

I was reading The Real Barenziah yesterday. Before I noticed, an entire fucklot of time had passed.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

I did this but with cheese wheels and I didn't put them in anything, my whiterun home is a game nuke now

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

*raises hand* I have to confess that I stole a lot of books as well... even from that College of Winterhold. Sold many books too.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I used to like hitting that librarian with his books. throw them around the room too

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

pics or it didn't happen

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

So there are books in this game you say...

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

In oblivion my house was piles of potions gems weapons and scrolls. Opening doors would send 100s flying

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

To be fair, entering most buildings seemed to do that eventually anyways.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

dude, just use a fence

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

lol its that easy?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

yeah, just get in good with the thieve's guild, sell the book to the fence then buy it back

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I can no longer read the word "bookworm" without reading it in the voice of IM Meen.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

So it wasn't just me!

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

"unfortunately, I am the high king of Skyrim"

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

jokes aside, bradbury is my favorite

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I wanted to have one copy of all the books. Ran out of bookshelves in my house.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

But that's not how Skyrim guards work.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 3

Bibliophiles scare me

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Cute story, but faker than fake. The guards don't freakin know when you have a book in your hands. Must be on a Mac t-rex to crash

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I broke Fallout 3 the same way. I kept every book I could find in my room at Tenpenny and eventually the game just locked if I entered.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

I tried to collect every book in the game but the fucking game bugged out and started trapping my books in the bookcases....

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

I do the same thing with the books >.< I just like how full bookshelves look!

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Rather that than the sister who just stalked and murdered people.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

How many words in total are in all of skyrims books combined? Is there an online text dump?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I did that also but in oblivion

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

Sounds like she has some deep, unfulfilled fantasies about being a librarian. I'm cool with that.

8 years ago | Likes 567 Dislikes 1

Hello...

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Ask her to say, “These books are due back Thursday...”

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Librarian fantasy with a little furry action thrown in and you have a sweet Disney film

8 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 0

Ok which movie am I forgetting?

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Beauty and the Beast.

8 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Or a lusty argonian maid

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I want to be a librarian.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I don't know if Night Vale is cool with that.

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

These people clearly don't know the danger librarians pose.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Even when properly caged. I know it's tradition for poetry week, but is it worth the risk?

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

For me, it's more about being a completionist. I got Bio of Wolf Queen 1-2-3-4-5-7-8. vol. 6 is rare. Also, they made vol.8 with a 1/2

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

2/2 different binding just to piss you off. Nowhere in Vanilla could you display your entire book collection neatly.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I don't blame them for wanting to throw the book at her..

8 years ago | Likes 124 Dislikes 3

YEAHHHHHHHHHH!

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

+1 please leave

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I actually legitimately was trying to collect every unique book in the game. I have a list, about 2/3 through so far. I like books <.<

8 years ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 0

If you lose motivation, you can always read them all on UESP.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Me too!

8 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

I collected the rare ones in Oblivion. Was often kinda sad that the whole set of them weren't longer than a few pages.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Not to be "that" guy but that's not how the guards work. Guards won't teleport to you just because you interact with a stolen item. (1/2)

8 years ago | Likes 79 Dislikes 3

They would have to be actively pursuing you, and if you were confronted by guards you would lose the stolen items unless you resisted. (2/3)

8 years ago | Likes 57 Dislikes 2

When you break games to a certain point even unmodded they do wonky things

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

And if you have hearthstone and load the books into the shelf, they don't burden the RAM as OP described.

8 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Also, unless you have a modded home, there isn't exactly enough room to store every book. Just saying.

*Oblivion psychic guards flashback*

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Assuming this story is true it might be an unintended interaction with a mod or between mods.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You can store books in chests, and the game has much more ridiculous bugs then guards teleporting. Once my dead wife fell out of the air 1/2

8 years ago | Likes 45 Dislikes 0

naked the moment I walked into the riften church to get a new wife, and caused my fiance to abandon the wedding and guards to pursue me...

8 years ago | Likes 44 Dislikes 0

This is fabulous. I still remember the saber tigers blasting off again like deflated balloons. So good

8 years ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 0

Theres 820 books and you can easily store over 160 of them on book cases in the markarth house. Im sure the other 600+ can fit in chests.

8 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

I agree, but then they wouldn't be rendered upon entering the house; therefore, the game wouldn't almost crash each time she enters.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

You say wouldn't like we aren't talking about a bethesda game here
