#16 "What are you going to do with a liberal arts degree?" Run the division. Management takes communication, critical thinking and the ability to take others' perspective. Quants, techies and business majors can crunch the numbers but they don't know how to play well enough with others to be in charge.

#1, to be fair, humans have propagated coffee all over the world and take care of the plant, i would say that's a win for the plant.

3 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

Win/win that's for sure

This seems a great time to recommend the book "Legends & Lattes" by Travis Baldree. It's a very charming read with great characters!

3 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I'll have to add that to my TBR pile

I was the closing supervisor at a coffee shop for a while, when I got pulled into morning shifts with 4 hours of sleep from closing the night before I had a contest for the morning staff to make me a drink that "could kill an elephant". The winner was a monstrosity called "The Dark Side" it was a large cold brew 1 pump vanilla 1 pump caramel, about 1 oz of half and half with 4 long shots pulled on top of wiped cream with a scoop of vanilla bean powder. I vibrated for a good 4 hours after.

For those who are slamming multiple shots of espresso to wake up, might I suggest simply taking inexpensive caffeine pills and a nice cup of coffee that you can slowly enjoy?

3 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

My brother took those once because he's not as big of a coffee drinker and had a terrible reaction: stomach cramps, shakey hands, and migraine. I haven't tried them myself so it's possible it was an isolated incident or he took them on an empty stomach

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Well yeah, they aren't to be chewed like candy, but I guess this is why they are only sold to adults who should know better. The response isn't much different than if you consume the same amount of coffee based caffeine on an empty stomach. Each pill is about the same as 2 cups of drip or 4 shots of espresso. Take with water and/or food, like most every other pill.

Nescafe is the best Greek coffee? I will never visit Greece

3 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

They use it predominantly for their variation on iced coffee to my knowledge

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

#1 goes both ways, though. Peppers evolved Capsaicin (the stuff that makes peppers spicy and is the active ingredient in pepper spray) to keep mammals from eating their fruit because we can digest the seeds. Birds can't, so they don't taste the spicy and the plants are happy for them to poop out the seeds all over the place as they fly.

#1 Could a caffeine spray be used as an environmentally friendly pesticide?

3 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Dude I would love coffee flavored tomatoes

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That's a genius idea

No, tomacco first, THEN coffeematos.

#14 Electric Callboy is one of my favorite metal bands right now

Look up Nik Nocturnal: Grandma in da Club. He does a bunch of emulation tracks replicating other artists. His Slipknot track M.A.D. and Lincoln Park track Lost and Bleeding are also excellent

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Lol yeah I know about Nik, he makes some pretty solid bangers

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I'm pretty new to his stuff. I love his How To videos and all the collaborations he does with other artists

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Of note: I did not draw the red circle

3 years ago | Likes 148 Dislikes 0

There's a reason Finland is excluded from Scandinavia. We allow them the title of "Nordic Country" but that's as far as we can go

3 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Understandable

3 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

oh hey look at this guy drawing the totally useless red circle good thing the red circle was there you absolutely snivelsome codpiece licking pile of sun-ripened anchovies wait what do you mean did I even read it it's a breakfast menu

3 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 17

YOU ABSOLUTE BAFOON! YOU FELL PREY TO ONE OF THE CLASSIC BLUNDERS!!!

3 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

I'm doing a bit, dangit, how did this not scan as an obvious joke about the comment

3 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Idk, people here don’t appreciate trolls as much. They’re far more likely to upvote wordplay from what I’ve seen.

3 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

When your country isn't Russia, but is also kinda literally Russia-adjacent.

3 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

As a Finn, accurate. Well, sometimes that's the second breakfast, first one being water and ibuprofen

3 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I've seen that listed somewhere as a "Swedish Breakfast", too

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

What red circle? Where?

3 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

He should have circled the red circle so you'd notice it. ⭕

3 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

I kinda wonder where this menu came from. It looks like Thailand; all the prices in THB. Also Chang beer comes from Thailand.

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I prefer Sambuca or Frangelico in my coffee. I'll save the vodka for an espresso martini

3 years ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 0

Cointreau drizzled over a latte is a wonderful way to start every morning.

3 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Oh yeah, that's the stuff. I make my own lemon & orange cellos so I'll sometimes have a shot nearby to sip on with my coffee

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

#22 I also choose this Greek friend.

3 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 2

Same goes with Italian households, although not quite as superstitious. I was in Sicily a few years ago and had espresso and food thrown at me from all angles. I can't wait to go back

3 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Sounds like I know where to plan my new vacation. Thank you!

3 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Make sure to get Granita con Panna at a local caffe for breakfast. It's what I miss most

3 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

#1 we CAN drink sea water, it's just the salt will overwhelm our kidneys if we drink it like regular water. Ocean survival handbooks say to drink up to a liter of sea water a day. The usual arises when later dehydration hits and they start drinking way too much. Then comes delirium and death.

3 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

You are completely full of shit. Cite one handbook by a legit author that states that. Drinking a liter of seawater in a day will make you absolutely outrageously thirsty and without a ready supply of freshwater you'll be dead before long.

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Alain Bombard crossed the Atlantic in a rubber raft to test this exact thing in 1952. He made it, barely, and reported that about a liter of sea water per day is the upper limit. He also said he supplemented his water from fish and started his sea water intake low and ramped up. He wrote a book about it, but the title is French and I don't remember it

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It’s easier to add salt to our imitation seawater is why

3 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Damn @op I don't say this lightly, but this is a quality dump; I would be happy with some freeze-dried Taster's Choice right? But op delivers some serious gourmet memes!

#24 Meat coffee? Bleurgh

3 years ago | Likes 155 Dislikes 1

Damn that was what popped into my head too

3 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I too was concerned. The milk is sufficient, the rest of the cow is unnecessary.

3 years ago | Likes 34 Dislikes 0

That’s just soup

3 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

I hadn't noticed the terrible spacing the first time around 🤣 Although coffee grounds make for an excellent dry rub. I did a BBQ coffee rub for my ribs this past weekend

3 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

Some people add coffee into their chilli, too.

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Like, fresh ground coffee?

3 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I also had it in my head that he took old coffee grounds straight out of the filter and used em as a rub

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yup, brown sugar, paprika, ground chipotle, garlic powder, salt, pepper, mustard powder, and ground coffee.

3 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Can I please get quantities? I’m smoking ribs tomorrow

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Made my own version

3 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Hmmm... " ̶T̶a̶t̶t̶o̶o̶s̶ Food" should be "Food and coffee," " ̶C̶o̶f̶f̶e̶e̶ Video Games" should just be "Coffee," and "My 1 Best Friend" can be "Video Games," because anyone that's a friend of mine also plays video games.

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I love it, videogames are definitely a necessity for sanity

3 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 2

I'm almost with you til I noticed the close talking. Don't care how beautiful someone is, take a few steps back, seriously. It's ridiculous.

3 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

I was into it. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That olive skin tone and dark hair combination. Mediterraneans are absolutely beautiful

3 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

That, plus the odd mix of superstition, aggressive hospitality, and slight abuse seems to do it for me.

3 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

greek food also is very tasty

Bustelo, Folgers, and Dunkin donuts are all owned by Meow Mix company

3 years ago | Likes 31 Dislikes 6

Crazy, I had no idea

3 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

That explains why Dunkin tastes like meow mix but not why occasionally I'm in the mood for meow mix

3 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

It's purrrfect.

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yeah but that company is Smucker’s, not a pet food specific company like you’re implying

3 years ago | Likes 26 Dislikes 1

Maybe I want ocean whitefish flavored coffee, you don't know me!

3 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Sorry, you can only give your pets the ocean whitefish coffee, the Smuckers Police are on their way to your location

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Ah (coffee) beans, I'm really in a jam now :(

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It’s fine, we just need to add some seeds and you’ll be safely preserved

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Smuckers like the jelly Smuckers??? Is there such a thing as a regular business anymore goddamn. Why tf are these places allowed to have twenty sub companies with different names lmao.

3 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Because there has been no true oversight over corporate mergers, buyouts and acquisitions since the ‘80s
