TETSUOOOOOO

I feel this would cost exponentially higher than having a kid.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Notice it didn’t tail whip off the table.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Johnny 5 seems to have upgraded his tracks.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That's some real Terminator prototype shit there.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Do a kickflip!

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

But see, I don’t want this

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yeah, SOMEONE'S gotta use all the kids bikes, now that parents can't afford them anymore...

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I thought there was a quadriplegic amputee in there for a second, like riding some brain controlled bike

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

There is some high level physics and math applied to achive this. I love it!

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

A weapon to surpas Metal Gear!!

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Boston Dynamics?

Reaction wheels

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I don't even have to get on my bike now to go for a ride

2 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

That plus VR/AR headset. just sit and let the robobike take on a challenge course while you watch and look around from it's onboard cameras.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Just make tachkomas already

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That's pretty easy to do when you have a gyroscope spinning happily away in your gut.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Dudes, stairs were our only defence. The fuck you go n do this for?

2 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Stick a saddle on it.

Not complete without the Boston Dynamics guy whose only job seems to be kicking and beating robots into positronic mental breakdowns.

I thought he was going to miss the very last one or something

2 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Do you want terminator motorcycles!?

2 years ago | Likes 166 Dislikes 0

Yes please.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Very kind of akynet to keep the roads in pristine condition so their motorcycle killbots are still useful, but put all the rusted out cars back so the killbots can pull some sick stunts

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yes, that's what this is. Every time you see a new robot or automaton dancing or doing kick flips, thems are ultimately being developed to kill people remotely

2 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 0

Regardless of why they're being developed, yes, someone will absolutely find a way to kill people with them, too.

2 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 1

Yeah those cute dogs from Boston Dynamics are now being dropped behind enemy lines at night by Vampire drones in the Ukraine / Russia war, the Russians are terrified of them understandably. That war is their testing ground now.

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

While what I'm about to mention is ultimately the worlds smallest difference measured by the world's smallest ruler, iirc Boston Dynamics and most similar companies do not develop weaponised variants. One that does though, Ghost Robotics, is a company from UPenn (they uh, do a whole lot of work with the US Military, CIA, FBI [chem/bioweapons]) who got sued by Boston Dynamics for stealing their ideas. Those ones are in Gaza right now. The Ukraine ones are a UK company however

Japan's robots dance, but those finely tuned motors and sensors are intended for a less violent, more intimate purpose.

2 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

The majority of the japanese military is over 40 and not getting any younger, of course they investing heavily in military robotics.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Those things were so dope. Bugged me how they had a seat for a human tho.

2 years ago | Likes 30 Dislikes 0

Exactly. And if it was for the terminators, it'd have made more sense for like radio control.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

"terminators"

2 years ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 0

I will destroy you. After the sick ride we take, hop on bro!

2 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Ride on!

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I always figured it was for like T800 or T1000 to ride faster into battle since the flaw of being a bipedal creature is you're slower than most counterparts

2 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Gotta take prisoners somehow.

2 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

But then it wouldn't be a Terminator.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Which one is this from, please ?

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Daemon by Daniel Suarez (and Freedom, but they first show up in Daemon IIRC). very much a page-turner.

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Terminator Salvation

2 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

Terminator Salvation, the one with Christian Bale

2 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

huh, I saw that one and i don't remember the motorbike termies.

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

You want murder cycles, cause this is how you get murder cycles.

2 years ago | Likes 268 Dislikes 0

of course...
how else can a mudercycle rider murder?
There are a lot of murdercycle riders today.
Murdercycles go very fast, making them dangerous.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

We can get rid of them with the killer cars!

2 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I’m sure weapons are the end goal for most of these.

2 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I'm sure we already have murder cycles. This is just to make us think it's still in development

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I’ve heard that mango Mussolini has a robot dog patrolling marma-lardo

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

For some fun murder cycles, read Daemon and Freedom by Daniel Suarez!

I’ve been saying it for a decade, Boston dynamics needs to be fucking stopped

I could have become a mass murderer after I hacked my governor module, but then I realized I could access the combined feed of entertainment channels carried on the company satellites. It had been well over 35,000 hours or so since then, with still not much murdering, but probably, I don't know, a little under 35,000 hours of movies, serials, books, plays, and music consumed. As a heartless killing machine, I was a terrible failure.

One of my top favorite series, I really hope apple doesn't ruin the show like they did with Dark Matter

2 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

What a wonderful short sci-fi!

It's a quote from "All Systems Red," the first book of the Murderbot Diaries by Martha Wells.

2 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

Did you read the following books? Do they hold up to the first one?

2 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Yes. And yes.

2 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

I'll have to add them to my pile of shame. There were some hearty laughs in the first one.
