Okay, I did like that concept in the cheesy movie, Fire In The Sky. The gray had his helmet kicked off to reveal more human sized eyes. (The next bit had the alien making a grumpy face with very dated effects making the entire bit hilarious to young me.)
What makes you think they wouldn’t? Humans are the only species on our own planet that have developed clothing and that’s mostly due to modesty. Protection might play a small role but it’s mostly for modesty’s sake. Modesty is pretty much a human only trait so there’s a very good chance aliens wouldn’t wear clothing
