pretty sure most of the credit goes to gravity.

10 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

How the Hell did he manage that with no speed wobbles?!

10 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Was Red Bull involved in this?

10 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Drone dude was too cheap and effective so they switched from dangling dude to helicopter dude.

10 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

fffffffffffffffffffffffffffuck that.

Yea it's cool but NOPE

Probably pretty hefty G-forces at the bottom too.

You know, even if he DIDNT do the drop and instead rappelled back down, it would STILL qualify as a world record attempt.

I don’t drink red bull or any energy drinks, but I am pretty impressed with how they like to spend their money. Just like GoPro.

10 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

the drop in is the easy part

10 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

How many people have tried this?

10 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

How did he got there?

10 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

I legit thought this was from one of the Skate games at first.

10 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

ffffuuUUUUUUCCcccckkkkk - me trying that

10 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

That's not skateboarding. That's falling, with style.

“Switch to the camera 2 miles away for the best part” yes sir!

What a disappointing video.

10 months ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 0

My palms got sweaty just watching this..

10 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

They should have had a camera guy do the drop in with him for a real good side shot!

10 months ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

Exactly what record is being broken here?

10 months ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 3

Number of days still alive for that skateboarder

Live fast, die young, and leave a two-dimensional corpse...

Do a kick flip!

This is harder than it looks. At the apex of his speed it's very easy for the board to go careening off in one direction or another with just the tiniest bit of incorrect leaning, this is essentially a massive test of balance

Dont know how it look from that tiny speck

10 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

There's a video with Tony hawk talking about the prep including flying in a jet, 120kpm behind a car, and smashing into decelerators

10 months ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

At the end he'd get a bit of a taste of having to 'fly' the relative wind of his rapid descent, very much like how a skydiver controls himself.

Just watching that makes my taint tingle

No

I concur

I mean usually i think red bull is doing cool stuff but this honestly just seem like a bit bigger-than-standard-slide with the extra step of having the guy being on a skateboard instead of his ass/belly.

This may look fairly casual(because he didn't fail), but honestly try goin on any medium sized ramp or halfpipe and stand on top. It is crazy how high it feels from the top compared to watching from the side.
Then it's a while another level to actually drop in. The bigger the ramp the bigger the chance to "death wobble" where the board starts wobbling side to side.
This guy has has balls of steel to drop from that height.

I can't tell if that is being facetious. Dude dropped in on a 200 foot quarter pipe off a 22 story high rise and hit 65mph. People base jump from that high. Dropping in on a 12 foot half pipe is pretty scary. This guy is absolutely out of his mind.

And yet you don't see a line of people waiting to go right after him. I wonder why https://media2.giphy.com/media/v1.Y2lkPTY1YjkxZmJlOWMzaTk3YTcxeHc1cjRka254ZmUxOXFrc2NxZmRyc2czZW5ocnJvYiZlcD12MV9naWZzX3NlYXJjaCZjdD1n/a5viI92PAF89q/200w.mp4

Probably cause it’s too easy /s

10 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

There's only one board

10 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Why have a camera guy dangling from a wire if they weren’t going to show the launch close up. They switched to a far away camera and he became a tiny speck.

Instead of asking stupid questions, search YouTube for the video you want. It exists. I'm not going to link it for you though. You need to learn to do things for yourself

Bad day at work?

10 months ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 1

And you need to question your happiness

10 months ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

you typed a comment but you can't type a search query?

10 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 30

Damn... You doing alright? This feels incredibly hostile right out of the gate, and that makes me a bit worried for you. Is life going okay?

10 months ago | Likes 31 Dislikes 0

I mean he does kinda have a point though. like you watch a single video and you're like WHY HAVE OTHER CAMERA IF I NO SEE OTHER CAMERA?? like yeah obviously that video exists too, this just isn't that footage. you'd have to be pretty fucking stupid to not get that of course the other camera angle exists and this is a 47 second clip on imgur.

10 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 24

ugh, imgur isn't fun anymore. Logical comments get downvoted. sarcasm is completely lost.

10 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 10

lol calling a comment stupid as a first reply isn’t logical, it’s childish. Hence the downvotes

10 months ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Also, more to the point of your comment, it's pretty easy to infer that they mean "Why go to all the trouble of setting up the close up shot if they're not going to use it in the release cut of the footage, and instead use a super hard to see shot?" I'd bet that this person knows that the footage from the close up camera exists even when they cut away and is asking why they're showing a less cool shot.

10 months ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

You’ve taken this same position for 9hrs today bro. Why not simply share that other angle/better footage that is such an easy thing to find?

10 months ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

Point or no, the way it was addressed to the other person is my concern. This isn't about the validity of the statement, it's about the emotional vitriol and contention behind it, when there's no real call for that, since it is the very first exchange of the converstaion.
