There was a pretty large CRU presence on my campus back in the day. It was really popular among freshmen who grew up in religious households and scarily good at radicalizing them. All my freshman dorm mates fell down that rabbit hole and were claiming 'the jews actually deserved the Holocaust because of what they did to Jesus' by the end of first semester. Christofascists recruiting on campus is nothing new.
