mmm you should give shield hero more a chance there is heavy good moments towards the end of season 1 but I understand the odd feel you meant there and it does get basic existential fantasy in later seasons.
Fire Force got waaaay religious on me and I didn't like that. I wanted magic firefighters as it seemed to be sold and that's not the show.
Kaiju is good, pissed they are doing seasons as part 1 and 2s
Admittedly, I love firefighters but this thing tying it back to Soul Eater as being in the same world kind of took away from the show for me. Like why do that?
Fair, Shield Hero S1 is great, but each season thereafter just loses more and more of the original magic and gets more convoluted without answering much.
1) I agree fair, S1 Shield hero has an arc that things do lead into more generic fantasy isekai, and people will meh at that. The part that hits hard is Raph-chan holding him "I believe you" out of his despair.
2) where does Soul Eater come up?! that is such a different show that I can only think it's grr is in it's slight goofiness and little absurdity if not shounen tropes that might turn off. I've turned off OnePiece for example as worse but will still celebrate the story if you like that.

I have half a mind to make a comment here, but I think I won't speak my mind.

To Your Eternity, Apothecary Diaries, Ascendance of a Bookworm, Rise of Shield Hero, Hunter x Hunter(2011)
StopTheWorldIWannaGetOff
Rise of shield hero drops sharply 6 episodes in. I recommend Kaiju No8 or En en no shouboutai (Fire Force) as better alternatives.
