#3 He also used what he learned from beating Maul the first time around to beat Anakin on Mustafar. Maul was a cocky bastard who assumed he'd won and wasn't prepared to defend his high ground. Obi-Wan knew Anakin's attack was coming and how to counter it. Kenobi was the one who taught it to him, after all.

Plenty, honestly. If we’re disregarding Force abilities beyond sense/intuition (like “magic” spells) Mace Windu, Sidious, Yoda, Darth Vader who was much stronger after years of being immersed in the dark side. Shit gets pretty murky in the Old Republic but I bet people like Revan and Bane could give him a run.

Sidious is a rat bastard, and those are the dudes that consistently put Obi Wan out of the game with their wizard tricks. He might win straight sabers, but there is no world in which Sidious fights like that, I don't think.

Obi Wan was however so proficient at the Soresu Defender stance that it was believed he was the best user of it in the galaxy. He was by no means bad at offensive stances, but Obi Wan's primary method of fighting was to wear his opponent down until hey could immediately switch to an offensive strike.
