Went to a christian/Lutheran middle school, and one year they decided for a church donation project they were going to send mp3 players with the translated Bible to place like Africa. Everyone knew it was bullshit why not send food and water etc but whatever. Years later I met a guy who was on mission during that time so I asked him whatever came of that. Turns out local warlords didn't like people having them and it got quite a few people killed.

Had a similar argument once with a representative of an org that was providing aid to poor kids in Africa as a charity, but the kids had to study the bible to get the aid. I asked if they would still provide the aid if they weren't allowed to proselytize, no of course not. So they aren't providing AID, they are bribing people with food to become christian, he couldn't see how that was wrong!
