Just screaming into the void, I guess

Aug 25, 2025 6:19 AM

This shit is killing me. I'm middle-aged, have a heart condition, and all I wish is that I could have my mid-20s again just long enough to organize and DO something. Instead I have to limit myself, meditate, and medicate just to make sure I don't just keel over dead. I fucking hate this society, this country, and this body for all their betrayals.

The bootlicker who wrote the piece in The Hill doubled down, writing a piece on how trump should send the Marines into LA and arrest everyone on sight.

This is what Americans voted for. It's beautiful when people get what they want.

Exactly. There were knowledge of better, there was no information restriction. They were even told by the now-president that he will do this if he wins. There is no excuses. And the best part: Not-voting is always agreeing, being okay with the result. This makes it 2/3 of people agrees with this, this is what americans want.

I voted and voted and told people to vote for her, no matter what their objections to her were, because at least with a Democrat, there's a SMALL chance, even if it's less than 1%, to move them for the better. Compared to the negative billion percent chance with MAGA (there is no Republican party anymore, let's be honest).

How did L.A. go?

*very gentle hugs* Survival is resistance. Do what you can, but survival's top of the list.

1 year ago | Likes 23 Dislikes 1

Nah. Resist is also raging and being aware many are going to die. You gotta be willing to die for the cause of other people having freedom.

Yea, but for me, the choice isn't "go out and maybe die, or stay inside and be complacent." It's "Stay inside and keep calm, or end up hospitalized or dead before I make it to my front door."

Oh, look. Kamala was right .... AGAIN. WTF America? Someone's going to get killed by the National Guard for just being in the wrong place at the wrong time. Possibly just a kid. And riots will ensue. And it will get messy :(

"Someone". A lot of someones, yes. You, maybe.

Harris wasn't some clairvoyant, they told us they would do this. We tried to warn you about Project 2025 but everyone said "stop overreacting".

Or hundreds will be killed and nothing will get fixed. Again. This country is incapable of focusing long enough to organize anything meaningful, that and people aren't willing to risk their own lives for change. The repubs know this and know that no matter how awful they are no one is coming after them. I would love to be proven wrong but I don't have high hopes in anything improving

I keep thinking of that scene from V with the kid…when it happens, I’ll be here in another country but cheering you guys on when you stand up

I was thinking of that and it sadly made me hope it is a little white girl that gets gunned down by a masked gravy seal....otherwise it's just a normal Tuesday.

People are already dying and God knows what the fuck is going on in El Salvador and other places people are being sent. America is already at the late 30s Nazi Germany stage.

so, next phase is 5 year period where 50-100 million people dies.

The most insane thing about deploying to cities is WHAT will they do when a shot comes from a building, or unknown location? How many "guards" will fire indiscriminately in the perceived direction, striking countless bystanders and causing massive property damage that WONT be reimbursed? Gangs and dissent can fire from a window, guards are limited to the streets so itll happen damn near immediately in Chicago. Gonna make the place safe by spray and praying a few dozen machine guns in city limit.

10 months earlier 1 was killed and 123 ended up in hospitals when the cops were armed with shotguns and sent into People's Park in Berkeley.

Again, heart condition. Not something simple, something that takes every spike of adrenaline increased heart rate and threatens me with a runaway reaction. Basically, if I don't force a calm state of being in addition to meds, my heart rate could spike up to 300+ bpm and stay there until a medic hits me with adenosine again. That shit puts me down for 2 - 3 days at a time. Can't do much when "let myself get angry" or "go to a rally" can turn into a 911 call before I accomplish anything.

I guess you can watch the world burn around you or cause some problems on the way out. I know what I would have chosen, but it's your life.

Not everyone needs to be on the front line. Use the skills you have to help. Everything you do to help the resistance is better than doing nothing.

Don't need to be in good shape to do sabotage or other activities

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It's not so much being in good shape, it's that I have to regulate very strictly. Anytime my heartrate rises more than a small percentage, I risk another "episode." The last time I went to the hospital, it was because my heartrate spiked when I slipped a little in the shower. Not fell, I was fine, but that little kick of adrenaline when I thought I was gonna end up on my ass? My heartrate hit 300+ bpm and it took medical intervention and adenosine to get it down to the low 100s. >>

>> So getting angry, doing activities - even simple ones - puts me at risk. Hard to sabotage or rally when thinking "Oh, those fucking BASTARDS" might mean a 911 call. No excuses, I do what I can; spread awareness, give tips, recommend resources and strategies. Tell people going to rallies to bring water, or how to build a sign that can also be used as a shield in case of nazis/cops/ect.

Those are the skills and the time you have to give. We can ask no more from you. If you dont take care of yourself, you can't take care of others.
