The Jungle Cruise ride got a huge upgrade to their animatronics since I was last at Dinsey

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That's also terrifying. They are huge!

Hiking near Medan in Indo, mama orangutan drops out of the trees. Guide throws an onion, and the female orangutan scampers off after it. Guide says "bad idea to feed orangutan, fucking bad idea to not feed orangutan."

Orang-utan literally means Old Man of the Forest

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

No, it 'literally' means 'person forest'

2 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

The shaman class of the apes

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Is he...is he trying to force choke us?

2 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

Nah, he's just going, toss the cookie, toss it, c'mon man, I got it, fuckin toss it, thank you.

2 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

I find your lack of faith...disturbing.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Could be the long awaited delivery of the crystal for his light sabre, cleverly disguised in a cookie.

Orang Oututangs, not chimpanzees, are the closest living relatives to humans.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

No. Chimpanzees are closer to humans than Orangutans by about 10 million years.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Their DNA is closest.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Chimps share over 98.6 percent of the same DNA as humans. Gorillas share 98 percent of their genetic sequence with humans. Orangutans share 97 percent of their DNA with humans. In what way is that 'closer'?

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I see you want to be absolutely right. Go ahead I don't care!

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You know, admitting a mistake is not a sign of weakness. Quite the opposite, it's a sign of maturity and strength of character. Everyone makes mistakes but if you own them and move on, the mistake is quickly forgotten by everyone. Instead of that, you've attempted to turn your mistake into some sort of character flaw on my part. Good luck with that.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Pretty sure they can rip your face off too. But I still love them.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That big boy could literally rip your arms out of their sockets!

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

He literally couldn't do that. We live in different countries, he almost certainly doesn't have a visa to get here and he doesn't know where I live.

2 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

No but one day you might travel and forget where your nemesis is based. The who's gonna be laughing eh stumpy?

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Well I guess I'm gunna need a bigger tungsten ball.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

He is casting a spell

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I’m betting that gesture from him is a small warning not to come too close with the boat

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

No- given how readily it catches the food, it’s clearly asking for the food to be tossed. Gestures to its mouth as well indicating it’s used to this interaction.

2 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Thank you for the clarification!

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Correct. He lives on a rehabilitation island run by BOS and is accustomed to humans doing welfare checks and handing out food treats.

2 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Some believe orangutans can talk, but refuse to do so in front of humans, for fear they would be put to work.

Wise sages indeed.

2 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

Am I wrong or isn’t that the same as saying a wise wise

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Smart creature. I also do that at my job sometimes.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

2 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

That's just Steven Tyler.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

This is an orangutan. Whatever you do, do not call it a monkey!

2 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

Else he may unscrew your head using his feet.

Orangs are among the most placid and gentle of the great apes (including humans). Attacks on humans are very rare (and normally provoked)

... Yeah, yeah it does tbh. If something causes less harm than something else it is less dangerous. That's how that works lol.

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Yes, it does. They have shown logical reasoning and empathy. "Wild animal" is a meaningless term in this case. Unless you'd care to define what you mean by it?
