Never tried it, but I've heard using the tip of a mechanical pencil to bend the pins back is a possible solution.

Probably, yes. If warranty isn't an option, you can try bending them back w/ tweezers. Not sure how easy that is.

Had this happen on a gen1 i7 board. Sometimes all 24gb ram would read in bios, sometimes not. But windows would always see it. Also 24gb wasn’t really supported on that cpu, but that bent pin didn’t hamper it one bit.

If they are only bent and not missing you can take like a knife and carefully bend it back in the correct orientation. I've fixed this issue a couple times like that.

just bent them back op, It's possible. My mom once tried to insert her AMD processor the wrong way, bending all the pins! Took me 5 minutes to bend them back with a long and thin needle.

Worth a try. Get a face telescope to see them real close. The pins can deceive you as to their true direction. Use heat from soldier iron on low with flux to heat them so they don’t snap. Get as many as possible then slot in cpu. It may be enough.

Well I didn't do it on purpose! My hand slipped while trying to put the cover back on!

I can't tell whether those contacts are simply bent or missing altogether.
If you have patience, good eye sight and/or lenses, and fine tools, you might be able to fix this. If "no" to all of the above, then yeah, you're screwed.
