Long post, but read it all please.

It gets worse…

When people won’t follow the law they belong in custody pending due process (in the US),

Spread the word, call your reps, donate to the ACLU, go to your local public meetings, demand the criminals be stopped.

This was clearly staged for Fox sound bites. The right will hear this and respond with "Hell yes, we knew we were right all along." The truth will never penetrate the impenetrable wall of self serving lies.

Everyone in that room should face a firing squad sometime in the future.

The Nazis built their camps outside of Germany.

Much the same reason they had prisoners doing the really dirty deeds, none really wants to live with that and see it constantly. Easier to ignore if it's not right in your face every day

Was it supposed to be a secret?

Okay, Roberts, you want your legacy to be something other than the death of this country? Oh, wait, you already showed us what you're made of, you fucking coward.

Where are all the folks who ran to Ukraine to defend them. Now it is time to defend us.

Can we overthrow them yet?

1 year ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Well, they have to make the first example first. After it's accepted as the new norm they can exile anyone they want. Even if those people would not stay in whatever jail they end up in "terrorists" are allowed to get back in the country.

Now, this calls for immediate, public reprimands and discussion. Complete, unison immersion, that action should be taken and utmost disgust be expressed towards the illegal action -

all those fish out of water, making floppy dick sounds, now that civilized society is in full retreat and the condemnation does nothing.

If the documentation survives to reach a more enlightened version of humanity, they’ll have more study material than any other subject in history.

I mean ... it's not hard to have a more enlightened version of humanity than what the US is currently presenting.

1 year ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Certainly, I agree. The trick is stopping the spiral and retaining enough of the decent population, so that humanity perseveres without the dome of dipshit destruction enveloping it all. Six farmers sitting around a campfire is an ideal of enlightenment compared to what we’re seeing.

Our only hope is that enough SCOTUS Justices are peeved about Trump ignoring their order that they make it clear what has to happen... not that they didn't do that already. But they don't like their authority challenged.

We also need the District judge to start jailing people for contempt. When the Trump people appeal, that will immediately head to the SCOTUS, helping with the above triggers.

This administration keeps testing the "checks and balances" we supposedly have had for almost 250 years. So far they've all failed. This is another test and unless something drastic happens this might be the final nail in coffin for this country. We'll see in 5 days what happens

A few things:
1. The SCOTUS created this mess themselves by handing down their dumbass ruling on Presidential powers. https://www.brennancenter.org/our-work/analysis-opinion/supreme-court-gives-president-power-king
2. As peeved as the SCs may be on this, they most likely won’t do much about it as a good amount of them are too biased when it comes to Trump otherwise, we would have gotten 1 above.
3. Even if Trump’s people get thrown in jail, he’ll just pardon them.

3a. Not that they'll end up in jail anyway, since who's gonna arrest them? He's got his lackies in charge of all the federal agencies.

Yep. Hence why the GQP has literally created a Constitutional Crisis. Something I’m sure the Founding Fathers nor just about anyone else in history thought was possible. I’m of the view that even when that whole fiasco with Nixon happened, the GOP at the time had enough sense to put country, law, and integrity first instead of blindly tying themselves and the party to the person.

Yes on #1.
Maybe on #3. https://www.congress.gov/crs-product/LSB10186
On #2, I'm encouraged buy the fact that they ruled 9-0 on Garcia. No dissent. Apparently there is some base level they hit.

Also, my suggestion is more around them that their beliefs. Judges do NOT like to be ignored. SCOTUS justices believe themselves to be designated philosophers and final rulers over all. They, especially, do NOT like to be ignored.

I hope they're losing sleep and popping antacids like candy due to the knowledge that they created part of this mess.

I honestly don’t think the SCs care and/or made that mental connection of how their decisions lead to this. That or they believe the system is working as intended.

Isn't contempt of court an unpardonable offense? I mean, legally speaking

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Definite maybe on that. With this SCOTUS, it probably can be pardoned: https://www.congress.gov/crs-product/LSB10186
