As a Navy guy, that's awesome, your Grandfather's awesome, and both he and the hammer are a part of history. So cool!

In those 80 years it’s only had 4 new heads and 6 new handles.

I bet he peen'd so many balls with that.

You really shouldn't hammer your balls. Nor your peen.

That shit works sometimes. Especially for a bum starter

A Bum starter, eh?

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Iirc he was having electrical issues and this did, in fact, work

4 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

I mean the show is edited so its hard to say for sure without asking however it did seem like it worked in this ep.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

My buddy had gloves and a crowbar and someone had to whack his starter until it turned over. We drove that shit every day.

it is haunted is it??

Please be considerate when you post pics of deadly weapons like this. Hammers kill more people than guns every year...

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

This looks like the hammer in my dad's tool box. I helped him for years growing up. He was from Queens...I miss him. So much.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I'm pretty certain my father inherited his hammer. I wish I got his tool box. ?

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That is awesome! Would look great in a shadowbox with a plaque dedicated to him.

All over this laaaand !

I expect they also used other tools to make the warship as well.

4 years ago | Likes 208 Dislikes 2

Nah dude you're thinking of battleships.

4 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Just a Shopsmith Mark V and this hammer.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

As a warship builder, the hammer is used most of the time.

You joke but I wonder if there is some minimal combo tool or set of tools you could use. Like making a whole ass cabin with just a hatchet.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I think at that point you're moving in on the Primitive Technology youtube channels sort of area. Making your own tools.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Like, you'd probably need to sharpen the hatchet on a rock. So it's not just a hatchet, but it's a hatchet and a sharpener.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

And a volcano to make the rock. “If you wish to make an apple pie from scratch, you must first invent the universe” - Carl Sagan

They say the lathe is the tool that made all other tool.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Nah just this. It's a +8 enchanted ball peen hammer so it's all you need

4 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 1

nope. Only ball peen hammers

4 years ago | Likes 96 Dislikes 0

That's why everything was riveted, back then, ya see

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Even the guns. Riveted radios, riveted beds & sheets, riveted toilets, riveted mess. So many rivets.

4 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

Thinkin bout them peens.

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

What else would you use to hammer in your balls and peens?
