I will do this

I've always wondered if I would do it. I've seen so many posts of people saving dogs from the brink and always wondered if I had the character to help, especially since I'm not exactly crazy about animals.

Well today I got my chance, and I fucking did it. Meet pepper, she was walking near the driveway of my parents house nearly dead from dehydration this morning. Thankfully, with my dads help, I was able to scoop her up and get her to the vet.

She has hookworms, fleas, ticks, and a nasty case of the mange. She weighs 17 pounds, and is severely malnourished at 5 months old. The vet saw her and said she was a little disaster, but that I'd be amazed at the difference a month would make.

You can see her bones, you can count every rib. She absolutely does not deserve to live like this.

I named her pepper because she's more black than white, she's the sweetest puppy and constantly has a wagging tail. I guess the point of this post is that sometimes animals need help and sometimes people need help. If you have a God or if you don't, i promise that whatever you believe in will be happy that you lent a hand. Help somebody, anybody, in any way that you can. Also, any tips would be greatly appreciated! I've owned dogs but have never tried to recuperate one who was so close to the edge. I love you guys, and will be posting pictures of her recovery.
