Israel's gov openly admits it has turned Gaza into a GHETTO for the last 75 years, impoverishing & immiserating its populationFinance Minister Smotrich calls to use Gaza's dire humanitarian catastrophe strategically to expel its populationStill questionin
Sounds like a good idea. Plenty of Arab nations that are welcoming the Hamas brain washed terrorism with open arms. Except... All the other Arab nations dislike the Hamas folks a lot, wonder why.
One thing that's said is that they made these intentions clear long ago (second article is 2019) but that people who warned the world of what was coming when Israel began its war on Gaza were labeled as antisemites and supporters of terrorism. It bullied many neutral people into continuing to remain uninvolved in the matter, and afraid to say anything or show any support to those advocating for the rights and lives of Palestinians.
Israel deliberately undermined Palestinian moderates and promoted Hamas extremists. Zionist extremists even assassinated Israeli moderate Prime Minister Rabin. Because they don't want peace. Never have. They want violence and bloodshed, and to use that violence to claim more land. It's been their strategy for the last 70 years.
i don't like these kinds of maps because they are misleading for example in the first one lots of the land that is marked green are vast stretches of empty no man's land a more accurate representation would have been about 35% Jewish and 65% Palestinian wich is why the first proposal of a 2 state solution looked like this
Israeli Major General Gershon Hacohen said "Netanyahu’s strategy is to prevent the option of two states, so he is turning Hamas into his closest partner. Openly Hamas is an enemy. Covertly, it’s an ally." https://www.analystnews.org/posts/how-israel-helped-prop-up-hamas-for-decades Because Israel wants Hamas as an excuse to genocide Palestinians
Yes and Hamas gives them the excuse to genocide the people living in that land, which is why they funded them in the first place. It's public documentation that they both directly and indirectly funded Hamas: https://theintercept.com/2018/02/19/hamas-israel-palestine-conflict/ and https:">ct/">https://theintercept.com/2018/02/19/hamas-israel-palestine-conflict/ and https://www.nytimes.com/2023/12/10/world/middleeast/israel-qatar-money-prop-up-hamas.html and have done so for decades
you see, some rich people are getting even more rich by producing all the weapons they're using to do this, so our government continues to veto any UN resolution and threatens war against any who would intervene. America, land of the profit margins.
Yes, we know. This is also why they "didn't realise" Hamas was planning the attack, and why they're destroying infrastructure across Gaza: Palestinians will leave if they can't live there, Israel will rebuild and send Jewish settlers in and the Palestinians who lived there will be permanently displaced.
Hamas turned it into a ghetto. Israel and the rest of the world donated BILLIONS of dollars to the Gaza leaders and PLO to help build communities, but lo' and behold, their leaders stole and destroyed their own cities.
No. Hamas was formed in 1987 the Gaza strip was given to the PLO and Hamas in 2005. Gaza was beautiful. Hundreds of millions of dollars worth of Greehouses and a fruit, vegetable and flower export infrastructure. Within weeks of Hamas takeover it was looted and destroyed. Hamas actually told the Palestinians that Israel would take back the land, which was a lie. So heartbreaking. Then the International community begand giving billions of dollars to the Gaza Government and it all was stolen.
If you really want to go down that logic train, be consistent. The land was occupied by multiple parties all the way back to the collapse of the Ottoman empire, then even before them.
yeah its really frustrating that anyone who doesnt tell israel to just stop defending itself from literally terrorists is suddenly gleefully cheering on genocide. no, I dont support what israel is doing, but at the same time whenever they stop palestine does it right back to them. at this point people are just angry that israel is the better bully.
Like half a year ago there were videos here of israelis "evicting" people from their homes, in fact 1 in particular where they kicked a family out and carrying the fridge guy handed a bottle of milk to the owner who smacked it.
it is sad to think that the rightwing government was on its way out in Israel and now after the october 7th attack the are have the support they need to keep staying in power for probably at least the next 10 years

And Hamas needs Israel to kill Palestinians, to keep the donations and recruits flowing. There can be no solution with either of them still in power.

Sounds conspiratorial. Israel has been taking land since they were established as a state.

Was it not a ghetto prior to Hamas's formation? It has its imports and exports controlled by Israel

I don't see anyone applauding it. I see a lot of people actively looking for an exit from the theatre, but Israel already locked all the doors.

How very convenient for them that Hamas attacked them right as they were losing power. It's almost as if they knew it was going to happen.

The IDF knew an attack was going to take place. they were just embarrassed it was this succesful
